    Found this online
    1. How does the pass work?
For travel on Greyhound Lines within the United States:
    2. Present your Greyhound Discovery Pass at select ticket counters and receive a ticket to present to the driver upon boarding. A ticket is required for each trip taken with the pass. There is no additional charge for these tickets.

    3. For travel on Greyhound Lines within Canada:
    4. Present your Greyhound Discovery Pass at select ticket counters for validation. Next, present your validated pass and photo identification to the driver upon boarding. Individual tickets are not necessary.

    5. For travel on other carriers:
    6. Present your Greyhound Discovery Pass at the ticket counter prior to boarding and either receive a ticket to present to the driver upon boarding or receive a ticket booklet. Exchange a coupon in the booklet for tickets for each leg of your trip. There is no additional charge for these tickets. See below for travel in Eastern Canada.

    1. For how long is the pass valid?

    1. You may travel anytime between the starting date of the pass and midnight of its expiration date, depending on the number of days purchased. You may make stops at any point during the duration of the pass, providing you finish your travel within the time limit for which your pass is valid.

To request a change to your start date on a Greyhound issued ticket you must present your valid ticket at a Greyhound Terminal prior to the original start date issued. No changes will be made after the start date becomes effective.

From talking to people while I was on the bus from FL-AZ, there was a guy that had one of these type of tickets. I think he said he paid a certain price for 10 days of travel. He got on the bus in Miami, and he could travel anywhere in the USA within 10 days on greyhound...he was planning on a few stops in FL and heading up toward the GA/AL border somewhere.

    Hope this made sense

we get a few folks thru here that use the passes,,, they are pretty cool all the way around,, ya hop on n off at your whim n go do what ya wish,,,
i personally dont mind the busses,,,i look at it like modern hitchhiking,,, and as long as ya keep that mindset,,, then its all good otherwise deep frustration sets in :)

when i quit the railroad in 73, they had a two month unlimited for a fixed rate, i forget howmuch. the way it worked then, is you bought it at the ticket counter in the bus depot (obviously the internet didn't yet exist then, for that mater, even personal computers didn't) and they gave you a book of blank tickets that you filled out yourself.

i rode arround all over the western u.s. that way. anytime, you ran out of ticket blanks during that two months i just go to a ticket counter and show the pass thing and they'd give me another book of blank tickets.

what i did, that i thought was so totally cool that i could, yes i had some quite a bit of cash, in the form of traveler's checks for safety, was i would plan each days ride to be for just about six hours or so, during the day so i could see everything where we were passing through, then when i got off the buss for the day, i'd wander arround whatever town it was for a little while, find somplace cheap to spend the night, someplace interesting to get something to eat. go to the room. watch a little tube maybe, or read something, figgure out where i wanted to go the next day and fill out the ticket for the drivers the next day, zonk out, and the next morning get up when i felt like it, have another good yummy meal, wander over to the bus depot and get on for the next day's ride to the next town, more or less six hours away where i could then repeat the proccess. it was like i felt like i owned the whole world for that two months.

only got to do that once in my life though. wouldn't have missed it for anything.

all i took with me, or needed, was one little satchel bag with chainge of clothes and a jacket, and maybe i'd pick up something in a grocery store the night before or that morning to nibble on if i got hungry on the buss, which i'd share with whoever i was sitting next to if they wanted any. and of course the bussess made lunch stops in those days too. big buss depots had greasy spoons build in, and there were usually even better ones arround the corner.

close enough to get back on in time. though in those days if you missed one, you could always just write a ticket for the next and it would be less then a couple of hours before there was another going the same or some equally interesting direction.

    Too bad Greyhound absolutely sucks.

Air Canada had a similar thing though... Unlimited flights throughout Western Canada for two months for 500 bucks last year. Which was awesome.

The 60 days ones seems more worth it than the 10 days one, if you are interested in getting to know the places that you go.
Greyhound is like the twilight zone for me, weird, weird, weird.

Why would you want to discover greyhounds?
