I was wondering if sleeping with my mouth wide open would cause bad breath? When I wake up, my mouth is dry and nasty...
I also smoke weed which probably does not help.
Is there any way to have fresh breath all day long?
I brush my teeth twice a day. I use mouth wash.
Suggestions please. No smart ass answers as I am already kind of embarassed this...

I think sleeping with your mouth open and smoking is a big factor. Do you floss? That definitely helps.
Otherwise I guess mints or sugarless gum

I brush, use mouthwash, and floss. But the key is to brush your tongue which is where most bacteria congregate during the time you go to bed and to the time you wake up. Dry mouth can cause bad breath, so getting high doesn't help. ;-) Chewing gum would help in your case because it prodcues saliva which helps clean the mouth and prevents infections. Hope this helps!

breathe right strips and cleaning out your nasal passages with warm salt water (saline & a neti pot) why aren't you breathing through your nose? Humidifier?

I am a dental professional. Sleeping that way has nothing to do with it. Bad breath is usually caused by millions of bacteria living in your mouth. Occasionally stomach acids can effect this...but usually it is gum disease, gingivitis or periodontitis...
do you get regular dental cleanings?
do you brush 2 min twice a day?
    do you floss daily?
    do you use listerine?

    Tongue Cleaners

For general mouth cleaning I'd recommend using a tongue cleaner.

Keeping your mouth moist with a few sips of water every now and then.

Also if you use a mouthwash use a alcohol free mouthwash. I hear that alcohol can contribute to drying your mouth which can lead to bad breath.
