I have an interest in a commune that follows some alternative builing technique, whether it be earthships, yurts, or building with cob.

anyone interested in buidling some in South/southwestern Colorado? There is already a like minded community of ""hippies"', with also the ability to begin an organic farming collective. I am trying to get money saved up to move there to live in an intentional community for a while to learn more (www.ic.org).

I have experience building an earthship home as I was integral in the construction of one from start to completion for my father in southern Missouri (Ozarks near Arkansas) from age 19-20. Labor intensive but somewhat simple to design and implement. Certainly more sustainable than wood construction. I also attended a workshop in Taos put on by Earthship founder Michael Reynolds back in 2003.

Here is an article I found quickly: http://www.ibiblio.org/ecolandtech/permaculture/mailarchives/permaculture-info/msg00111.html

Id love to correspond with like minded people.

    Much love from the heartland,
