OKAY, What I really see here is ALOT of the A-Camp sites are involved in the Forest plans. MEANING, Shanty Pond & Behind will be the MAJOR A-Camp scene for seed camp. Ocala forest is around 383,220 acres in three counties. Or are these links a lie? http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/faq/ http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/recreation/index_oca.shtml http://www.tampaattractions.com/parks_ocalaforest.html PR
duh, i wuz talkin about the HUNT CAMPS - not a-camp or rainbow or the flippin gatherin. hunt camps are not a-camps. they are just what the fs calls them, hunt camps. they are usually located by nifty natural resources like springs and such, and occasionally will have potable water. it isn't "a-camp sites" that are the focus of the fs. it is the persons who use the ocala forest primitive and hunt camps as a seasonal residence - and there are way more people living in the woods than rainbows &/or a-campers. i know the distaste that many have for the homeless though, so i shouldn't really expect any compassion for them.
thanks for postin sister, iam florida bound come mid december, iam hopin to be in ocala by early or mid januaray
