A rat can last longer without water than a camel. A female ferret will die if it goes into heat and cannot find a mate. On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents daily! Weatherman Willard Scott was the first Ronald McDonald. If one places a tiny amount of liquor on a scorpion, it will instantly go mad and sting itself to death. (Who was the sadist who discovered this??) Charlie Chaplin once won third prize in a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest. The Guinness Book of Records holds the record for being the book most often stolen from public libraries. Bats always turn left when exiting a cave!
i seem to recall a song by bare naked ladies that mentioned a few things like that. some true, some urban legends. at least i think that's who it was by. i think that was two or three years ago. maybe longer. =^^= .../\...
when my mom was in the hospital when she had my brother she was trying to nurse but he couldnt do it right, and they took him away to the nursery, and when they brought him back he nursed fine and they took his baby picture, and then after that he wouldnt nurse again, and then they went home and when they got the pictures back a few weeks later she realized it wasnt him in the picture and thats why he nursed so well that one time, she had nursed someone elses baby!
I knew the ferret and the Charlie Chaplin one. I've heard the scorpion one, But I didn't know if it was true.
"On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents daily!" That is scary. If that ever happened to me, I would....do nothing as I obviously would not know. Still that is very scary, no?
my kid will probably have a chunk missing from his/her ear so will be identifiable. did you know that in the initial stages of embryonic development well all have gills?
The baby one sounds like utter bullshit...I mean come on. You would have to take so many factors into account for that to be completely scary. Is this in the U.S. or in the entire world? Are these baby mishaps in certain countries that this might be likely? Nothing against anyone...I just don't buy that. And if its true it would explain a lot....I am nothing like my family haha. That would be terrible if that happened...I mean rasing someone elses hell child.
my grandma was at the hospital with my uncle, and they came in there to have her breast feed, and they handed her this fat red headed baby! she looked up at them and was like???? im not feeding this baby!!! its not mine!!! My uncle Albert is dark haired and skinny when he was a baby lol.
Where I come from they put an ID bracelet on the baby right after they emerge from their mother. They also don't do the old "nursery" thing anymore, you are handed your baby after you birth it. My kids are definitely mine. I am also confidant that I was given to the correct parents, since I was rather distinctive at over 10 lbs 4oz...
