Face it, if you vote next year, and you see a Libertarian candidate on the ballot below the Republican and Democrat, would you not vote for that person? Imagine a Liberatarian candidate on every ballot for every office in every state. We would beome a one-party country overnight, with the smashed remains of the GOP and Dems merging together to form a loyal opposition banished to permanent minority status. In other words, true conservatism and true liberalism merging together gloriously.

so who are the lib's running this time and what does anybody know about them.

if i see a white male republican win in 2008 there's no way in hell i'm going to believe it was because a majority of anybody voted for him.

I did just that when the governator was elected during his special election and the following year. I think many others did as well, that's why he hasn't been able to push much of his republican agenda down the throats of Californians.

    Not a bad idea actually.

There is NO way I'd vote for a Libertarian candidate for ONE reason:

    They are EXTREMELY economically right-wing.

The "market" will solve everything...yeah, ok, pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

What evidence is there that Libertarian candidates are more honest than any other politician?

What suggests to you that Libertarians will govern according to their advertised philosophy? (No one else does, what makes them special.)

If they win, will the honesty of Libertarian politicians increase or decrease?

Politicians lie. At least with the Dems and Repubs we have exerience to guide us as to which lies will lead to what kind of government action.

First of all, Ron Paul would not abolish the Federal Reserve. That's just a promise he can't keep. He would be entangled in a Congressional quagmire, thus he would ignore that promise once he saw how extremely difficult that would be.

In other words, he would ABANDON that scheme quickly.

Secondly, I think Ron Paul is right on the war, the "war" on drugs and such, but I totally disagree with him on his stances on abortion, gay marriage, net neutrality, religion, evolution, economics...shall I continue? He was once endorsed as a "great leader" by RONALD REAGAN.

That says it all for me.

Ron Paul is a RIGHT-WING Republican with Libertarian framing.

There is no way in hell I'd vote for Ron(ald Reagan) Paul.

He's only a republican because he has no chance running as a libertatian. yes, i do think his social views are way too right wing, but at least his supporters arent as crazy as those of mike huckabee.
