The world exist to us only how we perceive it. We must be able to create the world in our mind for us to understand ANYTHING that happens in it. Though we perceive as others do as physical matter and laws of physics affect everyone so we have a common ground in our worlds thus we can understand each other. This makes a blank mind a sheet of paper to that a whole other world could be created where ANYTHING of the impossible can be perceived to be FACT and as clear as either you or I see the day. The world is only how you perceive it to be. You have the whole world in your head. Peace.
Oh, and the morale is: You have the ability to make your own life better, have a more positive look on life, be optimistic, life is only as good as you make it. Have a wonderful day!
that's what waking life has in his head, steve - he is as right as you are - by the logic posited in your OP which OP, btw, i second, as a result of my own life experience. i have just had an amazing dance on a similar topic with StonerBill on this thread http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271551
Right to themselves unless we, as the variables and all matter that is exposed to Waking Lifes mind persuade to believe otherwise, if he lets it. Each to their own.
there are two things: first of all nothing has to be known about by us, any of us, in order to be felt, experienced or exist. second of course is that it is indeed within ourselves that we experience it. this DOESN'T make the cure for everything messing with our own heads. there really is a universe out there beyond ourselves. it doesn't wish us any particular harm. it doesn't wish us any particular anything. our fellow humans, collectively and sometimes individually, are somewhat less innocent. and THAT also, plays a BIG roll in the kind of world we all have to live in and how we experience it. if we could all live entirely by ourselves if we so chose to. could survive and get along just fine doing so. knew how, and it was no big difficulty, THEN how we chose to arrainge the inside of our heads COULD be very nearly the beggining and end of it. if you think there is nothing else, try being autistic and see how long you can survive that way, or even be allowed by the vested coerciveness of the rest of human society to remain so. like i said, there are these two things. everything we experience and how we experience it, does indeed take place within us. but existence is under no compulsion to limit itself to what we experience or even conjecture. nor, it is quite safely probable accept, does it. if it were not so, would we ever stub our toes on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night? =^^= .../\...
What I said does not make escapism a better form of life. There are too many distractions to just create your own world and live in another with different views and a whole new existence from one that we have developed to understand and percive. I am simpily proposing for all to have a better outlook on life and on others in hope that we can make our own world a collectively better place to live. Is there anything wrong with this? Good day
no criticism of THAT thought intended. we do tend to move, togather, and often even individually, in whatever direction we tend to focus on. so indeed, i do advocate, without denying the wrongs and shortcomings, putting our thoughts and energies into what could be and how little it would take to trade off the sweat we put into keeping what is wrong with how it is by not thinking about how the creation of conditions we experience comes about and actually works, for the no greater and possibly LESS effort, that would go into making things more both sustainably harmonious AND gratifying. that's why i'm so much more interested in things like little people sized trains and noncombustion based sources of energy. why i make and would like to see more of the kinds of pictures i like to make of what such a world could look like. =^^= .../\...
