Being a barefooter does have its benefits.

I was getting some lunch at a local establishment yesterday, and while leaving the order counter to seek a table, was approached by someone who asked "excuse me, are you the IT guy?"

Given that I own an IT company, I of course, said "yes," at which point they said, "Great, my name is xxxx and I'm with xxxxx and we need a databse application to be developed."

We exchanged information, I provided my business card and we arranged to meet in the coming week. As we parted, they said "I knew who you were, because everyone who referred you mentioned that you never wear shoes."

Takin' barefootin' to the bank ;)
