So how much weed should I be using w/ a Vaporizer??

I just bought a Volcano...and I love this thing. But what im wondering is how much weed do I need to put in here to get the job done...should I be using a bowls worth, or less than that?

Oh and by the way volcanoes kick some serious ass. They are sooooo fucking awesome. Great vape!! But ya just try to fit as much as u can in the volcano bowl

 

no^ you waste mad weed if you pack the whole vape bowl...

grind it up and pack the bottom of the bowl so that if you held the bowl up to the light only a little bit of light would be showing thru the herb. it is about the equivalant of a regular bowl but you seriously get best results if you can fill the bottom of the vape bowl. volcano is the best thing I've purchased and I'm looking into getting a vapordome so instead of using a bag the volcano connects to a bong and you can take bong rips of vapor!

 

nice info...so Shaman, how many times do you vape the weed before disposing of it??

and are you saying a full bag is about the same as a packed bowl???

sorry about these dumb questions...im just getting used to this thing. The high is so different. Im not used to being functional when smoking, its a great feeling...but it feels like I could keep going and going...compared to smoking which knocks me down

 

the bag has a nozzle, yes? so just hold the nozzle up to the female piece on a bong and rip it through that.

i don't have a volcano, so i can't say this will work for sure. perhaps the opening on the bag is too wide or something.

but i've got an ivape (similar to vapor cannon, etc...the box-style vapes with glass/plastic "whips"....hit it directly, no bag, no glass dome....a NICE step above the glass dome-type vapes that barely work and often burn your weed anyway, but not so fancy as some of the higher priced brands...a decent model, usually around $120, so way cheaper that a volcano, but you get more effective hits than with a bowl, usually) and i do this all the time. if you already have a bong with a slide, and you already have something that can be held up to the tube (with the slide bowl removed) then you should be able to take bong hits with it.

all i do is hold the bowl end of the whip up to the element and the mouthpeice up to the bong, where the bowl would connect. it hits smooth as silk, and kicks my ass every time. works like a charm....

that ad-on you described kinda sounds like a way to just make you spend more money on their products or something....i dunno

 

How long ago did you buy your volcano? And how much was it? I'm just curious because I know customs seized a massive shipment of volcanos which bumped up the price pretty high.

 

I'm saying that in order to vape all the weed you pack you cant pack the whole thing...think about it you couldn't pack the thing if you wanted to because you couldn't push that little metal piece into the bowl.. you know what I mean? So you just wanna pack about a bowls amount of weed and depending on how big you make the bag one bowl usually equals about two vapor bags worth of herb.

as far as nesta comment.. you may be right I will try it but like most german designs (roor, volcano, vapezilla, etc.) this vapor dome looks like it is the shit.

 

it may work better, i dunno. but i'm just not inclined to spend that much money on paraphernelia these days. at a different time in my life it might have been different, but you know.

anyways i dont know about german designed shit.....roors always looked really unappealing to me. sure they may hit really well, but i prefer a more ornate piece, i guess, and i really hate brand names on almost anything, not just clothing. i certainly dont care about having a logo on my pipes, thats for sure. and volcanos apparently also work really well, but i dont think the looks of it is all that awesome. sure it looks good, but really kinda plain. if i spend a couple hundred dollars on a piece, i want it to look badass anyway, you can at least always try hitting the bag through a bong, if nothing else.

 

try looking at the Volcano AFTER using it. Then you´ll see some badass shit!

nesta- your method that you described of taking bong rips of vapor does work I tried it yesterday but it is difficult to distinguish when the chamber of the waterpipe is full of vapor so you end up having the vapor go "stale" whereas with smoke its more dense so you can see it and determine when to clear the chamber.. def. works but will take some practice gettin used to... i am hoping to get one of those glass vapor domes come xmas so if that works out I'll let you all know if it was worth the purchase but you can def. try the method he described above, it works...

 

how long is the smoke good for in the bag??


this thing gets me ripped now...its weird how I had to get used to it at first

 

20 min. over 20 min... it kinda disappears, wont get u high and tastes like plastic.

 

I'd huff it all down within the first minute of the bag becoming full!
