    Anyone else enjoy her works?

She's infamous for her odd short stories with strange endings and her sometimes rough portrayal of the Jim Crowe South. I think she's so odd she's awesome!

She was a devout Catholic and much of that seeming oddness stems from her beliefs about good and evil. In my mind, no writer defines the Southern Gothic as well as she.

She's a favorite of some Christians. A co-worker introduced me to her. I had never heard of her. I tried one or two of her short stories. Out of a different world.

Many of her short stories are prime examples of the power short prose can yield. "A Good Man is Hard to Find" is my favorite. Wise Blood is a great novel by her as well. Faulkner, however, surpasses any southern writer in scope and depth IMO. O'Connor was a better short story writer. Faulkner was a stronger novelist. Gold Dust Woman by fleetwood mac and southern literature...nice combo.
