I don't blame you. Nobody wants to lose a friend.

    72 right now.

I'm moving to Ft. Lauderdale in a week, so it'll be a little more tropical then.

I'm not going to see any snow this year. It'll still be beautiful though. :D

It was like 83 in the afternoon.

Florida's apparently full of mushrooms. :D It sounds pretty magic. Ft. Lauderdale is full of canals and beaches.

florida is most assuredly filled with all kinds of psilocybe mushrooms. but as far as killing goes . . haven't we all , whether directly or indirectly? i mean white blood cells (YOUR white blood cells) are killing harmful bacteria as we speak . .

I almost moved to Ft Lauderdale for school once. Still might at some point because the scholarship a school there was offering was fifty percent and the rest I would get in aid. :)

When I was younger I wouldve killed lots of insects. I remember once I crushed a whole bunch of ants with my bicycle wheel because I thought it would be funny.

Then another time I caught a spider as a pet, and I didnt want it to kill any other insects, so I gave it some "grass to eat" needless to say the poor thing starved :(

Wow I feel guilty about that now :(

Oh I've also killed countless billions of bacteria and other pathogens, but they don't really count

i have accepted the gift of their lives from creatures i have killed to sustain my own existence. i've only personally done this once or twice in my life.

it is however, the only context i can see in which to knowingly wish to cause the death of any other living thing.

the old "you kill it you eat it" from both ends of its meaning.

otherwise no, i have never knowing or intentionally killed any other living creature, nor intend to, other then virusess, bacteria, and home invading colonies of insects (and those, only where they were causing real harm or would have been had they remained unstopped and undiscouraged from doing so).

No human, but I did shoot at someone to kill him (legally, missed) and was shot at by someone with intent to kill (illegally). He went to jail.

Killed a few insects and rats and some jackrabblits who jumped into my headlights, but that was their choice.

    Edyb123,

I agree with Boogabaah. If you've eaten meat then you've killed that animal. If no one ate meat then the animal would not be slaughtered in the first place. Don't say that you haven't killed anything before if you've eaten meat. That animal was slaughtered for your consumption if you took part and purshased it's carcass :jester: I eat meat and I enjoy it. I'm actually leaning towards vegetarian cuisine atm.

I eat meat 3 times a week but soon I will only eat salad and beans. Meat will be a rare treat. You would be amazed if you looked into it. Meat only tastes good if it's seasoned with herbs and spices. I usually eat a 'mezza' of humus and tomato, toasted pitta bread and a mix of fruits all on the same plate for lunch. I've actually felt an awesome different since following this diet. Have you ever smelt boiled mince without seasoning? :puke:

yes to many times to count..

why only humans and animals? why not include all creatures?? why? cause then noone would be able to say they havent killed anything,,i dare say few could say they never enjoyed killing something....

I kill animals for fun. I go hunting all the time and I have a bunch of trophy heads on my wall. I've made rugs out of the skin. After I'm done skinning the animal I just throw it out. If I wanna eat meat, I'll buy it. Sometimes I just kill the animal and piss on it and leave it in the wild.

eating veggie doesn't relieve you of the guilt of killing an animal. so what if i kill one animal a year to feed my family? eating the same diet you do, that would only be one more animal than yourself a year that i'm either directly or indirectly killing.

you should have guilt. that's what i'm saying. you're no better than any subsitance hunter out there. how do you think they keep the local fauna from eating their crops that they sell to you? they kill them. they rob animals of their habitats to provide you with your feed. considering that you likely eat more veggies, soy, grains and fruits than i do, it could very well be reasoned that you and people like you are responsible through your eating habits for the deaths of more animals than your average hunter who will kill a large elk to feed their family.

If I knew where any vegetarian live, I would kill some animals and leave it on there front step. Why would you have guilt if you kill or eat an animal? It's not a human. It has no soul. We are supposed to eat meat and veggies, not just veggies.

    Eat or be eaten!

if anyone has guilt it should be the people who intentionaly kill animals or intentionaly eat meat knowing an animal died for it... not a vegetarian who is trying to help animals survive << now i stand by this BUT im just argueing for aguments sake.. as im a prtty pathetic vegetarian to be honest... im only a vegetarian now because i was brought up one and i havent bothered to make the move to eating meat.... i agree that killing and eating animals to survive is fine (if you read my other thread youd realise this).
