DSOTM sounds as good to me now as it did the first time I tripped to it 30 years ago.

But technically Meddle is still better.

dark side makes me think of one thing:

being 17 and listening to it while stoned and watching The Wizard of Oz.

    good times

    :)

was in HS when it came out, on vinyl.

IT was everybodys first CD back in 81 - 82

So nice that its still so popular.

Like anything else, it can get tired,

put it on after two years

    and BAM !

    Its great Live !

DSOTM was the first CD I ever bought, I bought my first walkman CD player, plugged into the back of my stereo, then had to wait a week before I could afford a CD. I took two silver triangles before I took the bus home from the Record Store (yes, store still was 33% vinyl). Was coming on just perfect as I put the disc on, and just layed in my bed and absorbed the music.
Was the first CD I ever listened to, and I think I made a good choice.

its hard to listen to anything thats been praised and overplayed over and over and over again. Sure its amazing, but for alot of people like myself i've heard it one to many times. Hell, i cant even listen to pink floyd anymore, let alone anything from the 60's really.

ive always been a fan of piper at the gates of dawn myself, but dark side of the moon is pretty cool, when synced up with wizard of oz, i havent had dsotm stolen from me but i have had to buy weens chocolate in cheese like six different times, so i eventually bought it on vinyl so i could always have it to listen to
