Hi all, i made a post in body mod but was suggested i should ask over here. So i already have one tattoo on the back of my neck, but im looking to get another one on my foot. I want to get "The Beautiful Family" tattooed on my foot in italian. Now, when i looked it up, it said it should be "La Bella Famiglia" but i have heard people in my italian family saying "La Bella Familia" So my question is, before i get this permanently into my skin, is it "Famiglia" or "Familia" I used to speak spanish and i know family is familia and i didnt think it was in italian. Please help! Im going to get this tongiht!
Thank you so much! And it is La Bella Famigilia, correct? I wasnt sure if the adjective comes befoe or after the noun like in spanish. why didnt my freakin' grandparents speak italian around me?! I dont know
GREAT! So i just talked to my friend who speaks italian and she said in her family they say "familia" but she has heard some in her family say "famiglia" is one more formal than the other?
No, familia does not exist at all. Since when i'm born, i've never heard someone that used "Familia". At least, in the roman slang, we say "Famija", but it would look horrible! Famiglia is serious but not formal, just the right word.
in venice we say "fameja"... but it's very uncool. i'd really love to have a tattoo done on the back of my neck... i'd like a green eye on it.... so i can see behind my shoulders!!!! XD
Hey there,I'm needing some help with an Italian transltion for a tattoo if someone out there could help me that would be great!! I'd like to have these words translated: "What's in a name?-Everything." Thanks in advance if you can help out.
