Does anyone know what effect Randy Rhoads used on the Crazy Train intro after he does the slide? Also, does anyone know what David Gimour's (Pink Floyd frontman) main effects are? Thanks you guys, Peace.

If you were hoping to play like him don't bother. Find your own style. You can bet he did.

Barrett used an early echo effect and a zippo. Gilmore and roads both use countless effects and settings for certain songs. I wouldnt consider roads psychedelic at all.

Just get yourself a quality delay pedal with a repeater in it. You can have HOURS of fun!

I'm not at home right now, I'm visiting my parents, but I have a book I'll post up from. It's got every piece of equipment Syd ever used with the floyd. I'm not going to post gilmour's list though, since it's several pages long. Typically for a guitar he used a telecaster esquire with mirrored discs glued onto it though.

The delay pedal I've got was like $150 I'd say for something you can really go crazy with plan to spend at least that. But you can get ones for cheaper with fewer controls.

I'll be home Sunday and will post that up for yah. Send me a PM if I forget.

In case your interested, I'm in a band called Syd and we play psychedelic blues/funk along with random covers. Usually when we write psychedelic kind of song we just improv it out on our acoustics, then go back over and play it again with whatever effects we decide we want and with other guitars if we want. That way we get sound music and not just all effects, you know? Anyway, this is one of our demo versions (acoustic) of a song we improved called "Sunshine Acid" when we get the electric version done I'll send er over if you're interested.

Its awesome man. So you guys are gonna go over it with electric and add effects? I think it sounds pretty professional. Great job.

Yea basically just jam it out again with the electric guitar and effects pedals. But we like being able to play the tunes acoustically too, without any equipment. So we write it acoustically then experiment from there.
