Hi, I'm kind of new here and fairly new to smoking I guess. I'm not really sure if there is a post on this already or not, I'm new to the site so sorry if there is. I have been smoking for about a year now but have always used a friends pipe/bong/etc because I don't usually smoke alone, and if I do, I roll a joint. I have recently decided to buy a pipe of my own, and I'm not sure what kind/type to get. Whether I should get metal,glass,stone,etc. And should I get a standard pipe or anything special? And also what are some good sites you guys use to get your pipes and smoking accessories from? What are your opinions?
i think everyone will agree with me that glass is the best kind of pipe. in my opinion, you want to look for the thickest pipe you can, because it will hit nicer and more durable than a cheap thin one. also, dont get anything smaller than 3 inches long or you wont have any eyelashes anymore. be sure the bowl has a small hole because ash gets through easily. www.chunkyglasspipes.com has some nice pieces. but the thing about ordering online is you can't REALLY tell how thick it is or how it feels in person. but i guess you have to order it if your headshop wont sell it to you. that always sucks..good thing the one in my city is hella cool.
I'd say definitely go for glass, metal pipes tend to taste, well like metal. Thick pipes are really nice because they're much more durable that a cheap thin one. I'm personally a fan of the color changing glass pipes, its always fun to watch them change. About ordering them online, i never have, and would rather not but since you can't goto your headshop i have heard some nice things about chunkyglass.
