April 29th 1992, there were riots in the streets tell me where were you? You were at home watchin TV, while I was participating in some anarchy. The first spot we hitt was my liquor store, were I found that league of alcohol I can't aford. With red lights flashin its time to retire and we turned that liquor store into a structure fire. Next stop we hit was the music shop....it only took one brick to make that window drop. Finaly we got our own PA, were do you think I got this guitar thatcha hearin today?

Like someone else said, it depends on the store. I steal from walmart on a regular basis but I'd never steal from any of the "mom and pop" shops or anything like that. If there was a full on riot I would be looting yes....fuck it, why not?

The first time my sister took LSD was the night the Colorado Avelanche won the stanley cup. There were riots all over Denver and she was caught in the middle of it all. She soon found herself hugging onto a telephone pole like it was gonna save her from the tear gas. Dogs were being released onto the crowds, tear gas, rubber bullets.......and there she stands, tripping her balls off on acid for the first time gripping onto that telephone pole for dear life

poverty is no excuse, i know plenty of people who grew up poor and never became bad eggs. people need to take responsibility for their actions. wether they are black or white, rich or poor. if poverty were a good excuse to validate criminal ebhavior then there'd be no such thing as rich criminals and there are rich crooks. when black NOLA residents looted it only fueled negative sterotypes about blacks. that would be like someone saying that pointing out the fact that cannibal jeffrey dahmer was a white guy that it is racist against whites to point out the fact that he was white. how did that come off as racist? elaborate please!

No.. poverty isn't an excuse.. i was just explaining that its mostly black people that were looting because the majority of poor people in that area are black... not because of the fact that they ARE black... and i said that because your statement came across as fairly racist..

"besides, it only fed into the stereotype that blacks are savage beasts that like to riot and loot because of their compulsive and criminal urges."

i didn't know there was a stereotype that blacks are savage and have criminal urges.. ok you mite not be racist... i just jumped to a conclusion.

I've asked myself the same question many times. I've had many different versions of the song....some labeled 29th, and some 26th. In some of them he says the 29th, and some of them he says the 26th. He must've had something significant happen on the 29th as well is all I can figure.

i'd be a hell of a lot MORE "tempted" to get as far as i possibly could from humans wielding blunt instruments, sharp pointy objects and things that go boom, then be concerned with what i might be able to make off with in the middle of them!

(deviout cowards have a somewhat higher life expectancy)
