I am seriously having a transcendental experience right now, listening to The Beatles, almost completely sober (a little beer and weed earlier, but I'm basically back to baseline). I could die at this moment, and I would feel like I have experienced everything that has ever mattered or will ever matter to any sentient being. I am there, right now. I love talking about bud and LSD on these forums, but it is possible to transcend time and space without ingesting anything other than vibrations of sound.
yes I love those moments when I havent consumed anything and I just feel so high on what's here and I can appreciate so well the now. They are the best, and yes I always feel like I could die right now and it would be perfect. I mean, I could die right now and it wouldnt bother me, but not the same at all. ahhhh my ears are buzzing haha. Im happy and I must sleep. Goodnight internauts.
Thanks guys for taking pleasure in my pleasure... I wish you the same joy whenever you next listen to your favorite music. I was mostly listening to Abbey Road - Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Oh! Darling, Octopus' Garden, Here Comes the Sun, and the medley (I usually start with Mean Mr. Mustard and ride it on out!)
Ironically:The Beatles discovered transcendental meditation through the Marhareshi;then rejected it after he disgraced himself with one of the ladies on their entourage.(Listen to:'Sexy Sadie'). Has anyone seen the recent news footage of 'Donovan' going around British schools teaching 'T-M' to the schoolkids?.
TM is "transcendental meditation," a kind of meditation taught by a relatively well known guru named Maharishi. The Beatles went to India to study TM with the Maharishi for vary periods of time (John and George stayed much longer) around the time of the writing of the White Album, and shortly after Brian Epstein's death. Sexy Sadie was originally written by John Lennon with the lyrics, "Maharishi, you fucking ****... who the fuck do you think you are?" because he was very angry about how things went down. I have read, though, that George went back years later to apologize to Maharishi, perhaps revealing that there was more to the story that the Maharishi slept with devotees than most people know about.
