the new scoobies need very little to be quick if the owner knows what they're doing, i know of another guy locally who has 1 generation older than that, who converted his into a RWD, fuckin thing was fast as hell and felt really really weird for a STI to be RWD

 

Okay, well not 100% final but I changed my mind and decided to go with a '95 Acura NSX T-Targa.

Get a 04 srt-4, I have one along with a 06 Evo Ix Mr.....

Honestly my evo is better in corners, but nothing like the srt in a straight line... for your budget you could easily have a 9 second srt-4... Hell im running an 11.8 with on $1,500 in mods (50 trim, tuned) and all the ladies love how it gargles and pops, plus i ride with like 4 hoes with me cuz its a 4dr

Hey man I get 34mpg in my neon lol. Also the funny thing about the SRT-4 is even though its the top notch trim level of the neon it still has crank rear windows. If my buddy is driving somewheres in his WRX and an SRT-4 starts to try and fuck with him he will point to his back seat and roll down the power windows and laugh.

 

i donno.. in my srt-4 with about $2500 in mods i beat a 07 sti limited with a 60 trim turbo full suppoerting mods and tuned.... i mean its wierd.. a Sti or evo making 390+ hp will be outran by my 350hp srt-4 from a roll...
