... and god I wish I hadn't. I'm hating it right now, I look in the mirror and I don't see me, I see some chick who looks like a marine. I think, "What ever made you do this?!?!" But I know why I did it. It's the same thing I've been doing my whole life : I did it because somebody told me I couldn't. I did it to prove I can. I mean, when I was six my ma told me, "Little girls can't fly", but that didn't stop me from trying, I have the scars to prove it. A while ago, she told me, "Little girls can't shave their heads", and guess what I did? It just seems so very childish, from now on I'm going to try and not do this shit anymore. Somebody else can handle the rebellion just for the sake of rebellion, it's not for me any longer. And well, I've learned my lesson, I've learned to live how I want to, and if it happens to piss off the suburbs, that's great, but I'm not going to concern myself with it. I wish I'd learned it a few days ago, I could still have the pretty brown hair I loved. But it's only hair, right? It'll be back down to my shoulders by the time I'm... sixteen.
Awwww.....**hugs** It'll grow back faster than you think. Maybe you could get a wig or a nice hat until then. Or tell people you have cancer and get alot of sympathy! But seriously, everything happens for a reason, and maybe you made this mistake so that you would learn that lesson (it's a very important one to learn, so be glad you got it early.) Being different for the sake of being different is pointless; being different to make a difference is what it's all about. Next time, young sister, listen to Kate the Great -Kate
Damn, Katie, I don't know what to tell you. Did you actually shave your head? I mean, do you really have no hair? Well, hey, look at it this way: At least you're not some comformist bitch, right? At least now you're truly different. Also, some girls look good hairless. Maybe you do too. Yes, it will grow back with time. Hey, this way, you'll get to experience all different lengths and see what you like best. That's always a good thing. I know that my "inspirational adivce" really blows, but I tried.
there are things you can do to actually make it grow back faster, what they are i'm not sure, but i am sure a handfull of techniques do exist.
Aww, I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better I did way stupider things when I was your age. Have you ever thought about a kippah? Jewish girls are hot. And at least you learned a lesson right? Rebelion is essential, but you gotta think about what you're rebelling aginst. Don't do anything you don't wanna do just to prove someone else wrong... just make yourself happy. Best wishes, Spencer
Take a picture! And dont worry, I seriously thought about shaving my head a few months ago.. I don't know why I didn't go through with it, I suppose because I also want to grow it out another foot..
Hmm.... people say that I look like a lesbian... and shelly said I sound like an old woman when I scream. I wonder....
hey props to you ive always wanted to shave my head but was too much of a wuss to do it...im glad ya did but next time do it fer you you live in illinois btw right?
but when it grows back, it'll grow much faster, thicker and healthier!!! seriously, in a month or 2 you'll have a stunning head of hair, which you can flick around and make everyone else jealous with :H
Thanks a lot everybody for your replies... I'm feeling a bit better about it now. Live and learn, I guess. Besides, it's cute... in a strange, psych ward kind of way.
