I'm just curious what other people out there do in their day-to-day living. I go to class mon-fri (sophomore in college), Work mon-fri from midnight to 4 a.m. and bassically sit at home from the time i get from from class till i have to go to work. I don't really mind being at home but there is plenty of times when id like to get out and do something. I hang out with my friends sometimes during the week, not very much, and on the weekends occasionally. Other than that, I play my drum set and surf the web or sit and space out and think. So, tell me now, what do you folks do in your spare time? (i.e. hobbies, etc)
I go to school Monday to Friday during the day, and work nights and weekends cooking in a really amazing restaurant downtown (I LOOOOOOVE my job). As far as spare time, friends. Besides that, I play guitar, write, knit, paint, bicycle, go for walks, bake , garden in the spring and summer, devour what little sleep I can manage, and sit around thinking.
I wake up around 5am, drag my ass in and drink some juice, take a shower, brush my teeth ect then get dressed. Pop up HF to see what the night shift was doing. Head off to do my daily job here and there (calls) then around 6 or 7pm I eat dinner, turn on the TV or stereo then turn on the PC see what the day shift on HF did then shower and fall alseep.
Hmm. I have class Monday (10am-12:45pm), Tuesday(1pm-3:45pm), and Thursday(10am-3:45pm). When I have work it's usually 5-10, though now it's 5-9 because they're cutting hours and that's very bad for me. Sometimes it's 10-3 or 8-3 (am to pm). I usually try to hang with friends and we usually end up doing normal teenager things. Sometimes we smoke, sometimes I trip and those times tend to make memories. We go to concerts in the city or just to the city for fun (NYC). I'm also in a lot of CC debt and have nothing to show for it =(. So I usually spend mky time at work, school, or sitting here alone and doing nothing. Don't use credit cards, lol.
Since I cant seem to sleep tonight (HF is Hip Forums) There is a sort of shift of people on, days, nights and late shift just like jobs. Kinda funny really.
I quit my job a week ago, so I'm spending too much time here this week. I'm about to move to Ft. Lauderdale. I'm a kickboxing instructor. I'm also a filmmaker. I like to cook a lot. I read a lot, but almost exclusively online. I'm starting a charity.
i get up, sometimes i'll go to the gym in the morning, if not i just go right to breakfast...if gym, i'll have a protein shake while working out, then shower, dress, breakfast then class, homework stuff....lunch then swim practice dinner sometimes i'll hit the gym around this time... more school work
I'm second in line for President of Australia because of a game of Hold 'Em. Anyone who thinks theres a Prime Minister is wrong. Wrong!!!
Today? Uhh I got up at 7:30 to eat cereal and fruit salad. Went for a quick run. Showered, went to Denny's with my roommate's parents - Denny's (bleh, but free) - spent a couple hours in class, stopped at this italian grocery store by my house to get stuff for dinner, cooked up gnocchik and a cheese sauce and vegetable shishkabob for dinner, ate with my girlfriend, then we watched the canucks game, then I did this little paper I have due tomorrow. Now I'm sipping on a 'pesco and peach juice' while my girlfriend showers, and getting ready to go to bed. I'm exciting.
Well, I'm starting a job SOON so this will be changing but typically during the weekends I spend all my time doing stuff with my husband or sometimes my friends instead... or sometimes both.... A typical weekday- get up, smoke a cigarette- make coffee- go online and make the rounds on the sites I go to while drinking 2-3 cups of coffee- with a cigarette break in between.... get a shower or bath.... make a smoothie or have kashi cereal... then it's errands time- grocery shopping, clothes shopping, christmas shopping- where ever else I have to go.... for the past two weeks I've been driving around everywhere getting or bringing back applications... if it's nice enough out I then take a hike.... Come home, waste more time online- then I spend about an hour doing dishes and/or cleaning- Then my husband should be getting up so I make dinner, which usually takes me about an hour or two while smoking cigarettes and spending time with my husband mixed in. Then we sit down and eat together, maybe watch tv for an hour or two if something is on- if not, talk or do other things.... He leaves- I go online for a bit.... then I usually do my workout for the day (today was strength and it about killed me.. but in a good way)- do more dishes.... then random stuff- like get together next weeks grocery/meal list, write letters (i wrote two tonight), read, go online or watch a movie or two -about a half hour into the movie I make my "lunch" (i always eat my smaller meal of the day last) and then I talk to my husban on the phone and then go to sleep. (yes, i know it's an exciting life)
Wednesdays I usually get naked except for a large fruit hat and a tasteful pair of leg warmers and I dancedancedance to my favourite Yanni CD. By 6pm I'm pretty tired so I take a large zucchini and wrap it in cellophane and I- er, maybe I shouldn't post that part, I don't want you guys to think I'm weird. Anyways I finish off the day by dumping a box of cornstarch into the bed so I'll dream about that time on the beach when I was twelve and Timmy Masterson buried me up to the neck in the sand and slapped me in the face with a flipper for half an hour. Good times... Boy I sure am glad you didn't ask me this on a Thursday!
I go to school Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00am - 3:15pm. I have to wake up at 4:00am so I can get ready for school and then drive through all the fucking traffic to get here. I'm usually in the parking deck by 7:00am. I have a sad little routine that consists of me walking to the library and checking my e-mail, then off to the student center to buy coffee from Starbucks, and then I finally walk to the English building to wait in the hall for the classroom to be opened. After that I don't have a routine. I work as a maid on Fridays, but I'm looking for another job. I'm finding that no one really wants to hire a full time student that needs her weeks free so she can observe at local high schools. Fucking education department guidlines. ARG! I barely have time for family, much less friends. I love to draw - but I never have time and it's killing me.
