This is a long one and its really confusing. So a couple of months ago my boyfriend of 2 years and I broke up (Mike). We were in a sense set up by one of his friends (Adam), who I hardly knew. Adam and I have been friends the whole time and he's best friends with my ex boyfriend also. My ex lives in Cali and Adam lives near me. So last week I go to Adam's house and he tells me that Mike and I werent similar enough to sustain a relationship. And he continues he had the same problem with his girlfriend. Also if he wasnt dating her at the time and me and him had ended up dating we would have never faught and we would still be together. I think Adam was a little drunk, I was too so we went into his room to sleep (this is normal, except normally nothing happens). We made out but I didnt want to have sex cause that would kill our friendship. Anyway in the morning we say that this can never happen again and we both care about mike too much. so we're hangin out a friends house and whenever he sits down by me our legs are touching. And than we go out to an expensive dinner and he refuses to let me help pay even though he says he's broke. I really did try to pay for my half. And than I'm staying at his house that night and the same thing happens again. What is happening here??
he wants you, but wanted to protect himself by saying he cares about mike. Im sure he does, but i think he is showing hes willing to go beyond that. I mean if you and mike are broken up, what the problem if its okay with mike. He probally wants you to say its okay, and that you want to give it a try with him (adam) Or you can stop speculating and flat out ask him, lol
thats the thing, it would probably kill mike. Me and Adam are his closest friends in the world. But you're right all this speculation is probably going to make me crazy.
yup Communication is key, make sure everyone is on the same page and things should go smooth. The situation may cause some heartache, but as is life... its more a test of true friendship.
