Anyone else looking forward to the theatrical release of The Mist on November 21, 2007 (this wednesday) I must have read the short story by Stephen King at least 5 times Hotwater
Well I finally had a chance to see this movie and al I can say is WOW!! What a sick, twisted ending! If they only waited just a few more minutes after they ran out of gas.... The ending was so tragic but yet you never expect it to happen that way. My jaw dropped literally when I saw the ending of the movie and most of the female audience were in tears. Best adaptation of the Stephen King novels in years! This is the same person who directed Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile so you know this movie is good. This is not your typical Hollywood ending so brace yourself.
Yep, when the annoying hag got shot in the head, they cheered and clap. Some people even yelled and whistled lol! ...that crazy religious kunt was annoying. lol! Is she the same broad that played the wife of Evan in Evan Almighty?
*********** spoiler warning ************ I almost walked out of the movie because of all the bible thumping from her, I mean I was really annoyed, far far more annoyed than I was at Jeff Goldblums character in Jurassic Park. I woulda thrown her out in the mist to 'meet her god'. The CG bugs were done really well, although it did look like they used the same texture map, they were still scary. The critter in the parking lot kinda reminded me of the one in Star Wars ep3, in the arena. The ending of the movie didn't follow the book (which was ambiguous) and I was WTF, if he had just waited a few more minutes. You would think that he might have broke his boys neck then had enough shots for everyone. I half expected to see the black lawyer in the back of the army truck. I won't pay to see it, but will rent it and fast forward through the bible thumping scenes.
I finally got around to seeing the mist on monday and I wasn't disappointed - it was very good and I loved the Twilight Zone ending Hotwater
I'm going to watch this as soon as I get the time. can't really miss something like this kind of movie... ^_^
Based from the recent postings, i think this film is really that great....I think I'm gonna watch this weekend...
I was shocked and absolutely hated the ending, but I can appreciate that Stephen King made it unpredictable. I guess I hate that I saw it, but enjoyed the conversations and thoughts sparked by seeing it.
