Ever since I came across knitty.com's knucks pattern, I thought they were not only great, but an awesome way to use up sock yarn instead of making more socks. So, I whipped up these two pairs: a pair for him - the husband, I mean and a pair for myself. Granted they may be made from thinner yarn, but they're surprisingly warm and campily comfortable.

Oh, those are so bad-ass! I would love a pair. Do you think the pattern could be easily modified to make the fingers and wrists longer?

lace and feet - totally... you can make the fingers as long as you want, as well as the cuffs. As long as you've got the yarn to do it, it's completely adjustable!

Totally making sense. Found one pattern here - yarn can obviously be substituted if you don't want to use this one. I'm sure there's more but that's the first one that popped up when I did a google search. :D Hope that helped.

    yw :)

Some knitting pattern books will also carry patterns for these - you're more likely to find these as a 'mens mittens' pattern, but can always be adjusted to fit other hands.
