i need to know how to avoid a bad trip. when i tell people im gunna do acid theyre like " oooh, your gunna have a bad trip and kill yourself." or " kool your gunna see crazy shit." but im not doing it just to get fucked up. im doing it to get a sense of clarity and understanding. i want to have a spiritual trip. thanks
Focus on mental equilibrium, avoid people who spread negativity, take it some place where it is calm and serene that you wont be forced to leave suddenly, and above all, dont fight it. Peace. -
i plan to listen to across the universe soundtrack. its very mellow and its remakes of the more famouse beatles songes(which i also plan to listen to) and janis joplin. my friend wants to listen to smashing pumpkins but im afraid it will freak me out. if not the music, the fact that i dont want to listen to it. your thoughts
Well you cant go wrong with the Beatles if your already a fan. Smashing Pumpkins? They are kind of depressing arent they? I really only know the popular songs, but music wont really cause you to have a bad trip unless you already dont like the particular band or song and dont want to listen to it, like you said. Vibrations are what we are, and music is vibration predetermined that DOES cause certain mental changes. Listening to scary or violent music can make one energized to release negative feelings and sad songs can make us, well, sad lol. Beatles are for the most part upbeat so that sounds like a good idea. I dont know friend a bad trip is only classified that way by the experiencer, I dont know enough about you to be able to judge wether or not you will like it or not. Just go with the flow, as lame as that sounds.
I believe music has a great influence, sometimes it might be able best to go without. This one time I was on shrooms and I was listening to the radio flipping through stations and I found some kool rock that was pretty chill, then all of a sudden I realize I haven't been listening to the radio for an hour and some screaming music came on like ARGGHHH!!!!! and it freaked the hell out of me cuz I thought my friend was gonna turn into a monster. LOL
This reminds me of a very cool person. I gave this guy his first hit of acid one day when he showed up during a weed session. I love it when cool guys just show up. We walked around and agreed that we understand whats "the best" things in life. He told me he saw his brother in me. The point of the story is that when we would return to the pad to listen to tunes and blaze he would keep playing back the same song on repeat for hours. He wouldn't be ok with anyone listening to anything else hahaha it was very interesting and funny.
Agreed 100 billion millions thousand trillion times % lol. I was listening to the BEST, most perfect and exact performance of the song O Holy Night with a female singer and the choir today, and the only thing I can say is that I entered immediatley into a state of most profound samadhi. Samadhi is divine perception, 3rd eye awakening, God Communion, in case people are unfamiliar with the term. Music is controlled specific vibrations, and being that we ARE purely vibration at the the essence of our core, music has the power to influence and inebriate the mind in ways that are nearly unspeakable. My soul felt as if it split out of myself and spread across the cosmos, eneveloping everything and everyone in existance on it's path with the most beautiful Love I have ever felt. No acid trip could ever compare to direct God/Soul union of samdahi, perfect bliss is beyond any esctasy or profound insight caused by psychedelic drugs. Drugs only act to open up and force you to embrace what is already inside of you, and large enough doses confront you with your very own Soul, once the ego dissipates. But when you have this part of you opened and exposed naturally, you know in that moment that it is not you, nor drugs, nor anything that opened you up, it was the power of Almighty God Him/Herself. Om shanti om, peace be with the world, and may love find its way to your heart. -
My advice is to not be dissapointed if you don't have as spiritual of an experience your first time. My first few trips I had to work through alot of personal issures and boundaries before I could start having really incredible experiences. Try to go in without expectations and just get your bearings and center yourself. Whatever you do if to much is happening sit up and breathe deeply. Don't curl up and try to ration things out in your head.
