What is the best college to go to for a hippy like protest following? I want a full blown 60s anti war and pro drug experience. I wanna see masses of people in tie die smoking dank and tripping L outside of my University. Where should I go!?
A time machine? :-/ (Actually, even in the 60s, I doubt that there were universities where there were huge crowds of people just sitting around, smoking pot and dropping acid. But I wasn't alive back then, so I wouldn't really know.)
So lets commandeer our own university! How about Florida State? They are all a bunch of retards in Florida so they would probably not even notice and it is always sunny in the sunshine state. Seriously though, what is the most likely school in America to allow big protests and rallies?
I mean there are some liberal schools with hippie-like people... I don't know if they're gonna do acid outside and shit, but you could talk to them or whatever. My school did a war protest and there were like 20 people heh.. I joined in of course. Buuuut my school has a lot of rich white kids so yeah I don't know
There's actually a thing on the Princeton Review website, where it gives you the top 20 schools for different categories... and one of them is the top 20 schools for hippies, i.e. for "Birkenstock-Wearing, Tree-Hugging, Clove-Smoking Vegetarians." 1. Hampshire College 2. Bard College 3. Warren Wilson College 4. Bennington College 5. The Evergreen State College 6. New College of Florida 7. Sarah Lawrence College 8. Reed College 9. Lewis & Clark College 10. Eugene Lang College--The New School for Liberal Arts 11. Wesleyan University 12. Simon's Rock College of Bard 13. Marlboro College 14. Oberlin College 15. Vassar College 16. Pitzer College 17. University of California-Santa Cruz 18. Emerson College 19. Macalester College 20. State University of New York--Purchase College The website says it is "Based on a combination of survey questions concerning political persuasion, the use of marijuana and hallucinogens, the prevalence of religion, the popularity of student government, and the students' level of acceptance of the gay community on campus." There was this guy who left my school after freshman year to go to New College in Florida. It's apparently very liberal - the students design their own curriculum and basically run the school, and (if I recall correctly) the students police their own campus (and therfore, there aren't any cops to enforce drug laws).
