WTF... I got my piercing about 2 weeks ago (industrial) now i got this bump on the upper hole. its not on the back of my ear but on the inside of the little flap (top of ear) I cant see it because its in the flap but my brother says it looks like a bump. All i know is that it kinda hurts but thats not the problem its the fact that theres a bump. What do i do 2 get rid of it? Will it leave on its own? How did it become?
any help is greatly appreciated :bigear:

How well is it healing? For 2 weeks, usually, cartilage piercings are just starting to really heal, and industrials can take longer because of the jewelry and placement. It could just be extra dead skin. It's normal for piercings to get bumps when they're fairly new, most of mine did, and it's just extra dead skin around the hole, still attached, that will go away with time. Don't pick at it, just keep it clean and dry.
It's also common for cartilage/ear piercings to get hypertrophic scarring, which is probably what it is if you notice it getting bigger and/or harder. You can do everything right, sometimes it just happens. To get rid of it, buy Vitamin E oil (either a small bottle or capsules) and rub it on 2-3 times a day (it's best to do after you've cleaned the piercing). Vitamin E breaks down scar tissue, so it should soften up and eventually go away, or shrink significantly. If it becomes too much of a problem, go back to your piercer and see what they suggest.

its healing pretty well. I can move the piercing around no problem (no pain). I was thinking of just ripping the bump out but i quess i can wait and see what happens. Ill have 2 try the vitamine E oil. Im hopeing its just crust though.
    thanks for the help

yep, the vit E works well, I've had hypertrophic scarring on one of my cartilage piercings while I was stretching it (they're all at 4 ga).
