It's been four days since my last cigarette. I'm feeling very touchy and on edge. It's just a shame that everyone around me has to suffer because I'm trying to stop smoking. But I'm gonna beat it, for the sake of the world!

Well done Claire. Been about 12 years without a cigarette now, but I did go through a short stage of smoking cuban cigars a couple of years back ... for some reason they aren't anywhere near as addictive, I could quite easily smoke one now and not touch them for weeks ... so I reckon the addiction is a lot to do with the chemicals that are in cigarettes and not the tobacco itself.

Anyway it wasn't easy at first ... I would say that the first 14 days are the toughest, that's when you really do crave. After that it's just a matter of getting used to it. In 3 months you will feel better than you ever have, that's when I stopped counting the days.

Hang in there, if I can do it anyone can. [IMG]

You know you may have a point...

The last few months (due to lack of money) I've been smoking rollies. I've never managed to go this long without a smoke before...

Maybe the rolling tabacco weaned me off the heavier stuff in preparation for the big quit?

    Ooo Isn't it scientific:p

    *drinks another Earl Grey slosh*

Well to be on the safe side I'm not drinking alcohol for the next few weeks, cos it gets me into all sorts of trouble.

Good on you for going 12 years! Hows the vegetarian thing going? Good I hope:)

    Love Clairexxx

Fuck it...I give up giving up...I like it too much....Don't really care anymore....We are here for a good time, not a long time......I am off to the pub to get arsed and smoke as much as I can...and you know what....I am happy about this fact...Yeah may regret it in 20 years but then again maybe I won't......

Just what I thought a week ago when I went on me vacation...

I just couldn't sit in that bloody backpacker sunset bar without smoking... it's social, i tell you!

When i'm at home, I socialize with nature that way. :p
