I have quite a few vintage t-shirts that have some pit-stains and lingering BO scent, no matter how often I wash them. I was wondering if anyone knew about a gentle scent remover for these shirts, becuase most of them are the 50/50 shirts and paper thin - they wouldn't stand up to lots of hard scrubbing.

How old are the stains? Because if they've been there for a while, they may be now part of the shirt.

Otherwise, mix a little ivory with some lukewarm water (ivory is a nice mild soap) and let the shirts soak for 2-3 hours. Then just put the shirts through a regular gentle cycle in your machine, see if that works.
