Non violent ways of standing up for yourself

I'm not being picked on or anything but I was just wondering...what are some non violent methods you guys use of standing up for your self (aimed mainly at high school students or middle school students)? It seems like these days its always

Guy 1: *does something to guy 2*
Guy 2: You wanna go?! *puts fists up*

Freaking high school....

 

i remember a book called verbal selfdefence dont know if its still in print!

 

Ive always just kinda shrug, then turn around and walk away. Then later in the day walk up to that same person and say, HOW YA DOIN, GOOD TO HEAR , YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY NOW, BYE. I think it kinda messes with there minds.

 

Give him a big friendly smile, turn around, and walk away.

As easy as that.

 

You should try Aikido or other Budo. Budo is really not violence it's loving

"Standing up for yourself" doesn't really imply "walking away", but it works Don't give them the satisfaction. I think its basically the only thing they want.

 

Try to intellectually kick their ass... Take whatever it is they said, poke holes in it, and then walk away.

 

Does anyone know if there are any existing hippie communes in the us? sort of desperate. thankss. sorry to interrupt.

Ask the question why? Why do you want to fight me? What purpose does it serve?

The reality is the person wants to feel better about themselves, because they feel inadequate in such a world that promotes the idea of naturally being inadequate (penis enlargement pills???? wtf????).

Time for folks to realize whats goin on!

 

That'd be nice.. the other ones kinda seem like a cult (past religious experiences.. eeek!) I'd rather just start one with a few friends. But unfortunately I'm the only one around here with the idea and the convistion to actually act it.

 

Penis enlargment pills.. those are just ways that people get money over making men feel inadequate about themselves.. I say every woman has their preference.

ha, I went to a school with a lot of violence, and racism towards whites, believe it or not. Whenever they threatened me, I just was witty, used big words they didn't understand, and said how only uneducated neanderthals use violence because they're not smart enough to use words.
BUUUURN
That shut them up... or just made them scream and hit things like neanderthals.
