Ok so I am off to Amsterdam in one week. Will be there for almost a week. I know the ban is coming on Mushrooms (Word is 3rd week of January 2008), part of the reason I am going now and not in the Spring. I wanted to take 2 Mushrooms trips while there. I have previously only taken Mexicans. I want more visuals and surely will discuss this with the Smartshop staff. Anyway I won't be mixing the coffeeshops with the Mushrooms as I will probably wait until the end of the day to take Mushrooms so I can be back at the hotel. Any suggestions or experiences with this type thing and how many days should I wait in between trips ? Thanks...... Tug
my only advice is dont underestimate the potency of the shrooms sold fresh in the smartshop. previously i had taken over an eighth on multiple occasions, so i figured that 12 g fresh (1.2 g dried) would just be a very light trip. i was wrong. i came up within the first 30 minutes and stayed tripping for a good 6 hours. i cant be sure, but i'd assume the fact that all of the mushrooms i had eaten were very small accounted for the intensity of my trip. mushrooms produce nearly all of their psilocybin within the first few days of growth, so gram-for-gram these shrooms were much more potent than the dried monsters that i have eaten in the states. if i were you i would definitely trip during the day, not at your hotel. your hotel is going to be foreign to you, and extremely cramped--very uncomfortable. i say you should eat them relatively early and spend your day in Vondelpark, its really an awesome place to trip. however i must mention i went in late july in the middle of summer when it was warm, but i still think you could have an amazing trip. good luck.
oh, and tolerance for shrooms lasts 2-3 days, so if you really want to trip twice in that short time period, you'll want to separate them about that much. i dont know about you, but after im done tripping i need a break for a while haha
On second thought one trip might and probably will be enough. You are probably right about getting out of the hotel. Last time I took a box of Mexican shrooms. Took 1/2 waited 1 hour took the rest. We (my non-tripping chaperon & I) took a city and a canal tour. It was a blast, I just want to already have it planned as I don't want to be making many decisions that day ? It worked good last time, so I should stick to what works. Anyway I won't trip & hit the c/shops at the same time so it will take away from my c/s time.
This is what I'm gonna do, but I'm just gonna trip light. Maybe start with 10g's of mexicans and if things are good take another 10g's. We tripped at our hotel twice but it's more fun tripping outside, just so long as you're in control and you don't have something liek 30g's f Hawaiians like we did. That was tooooooo much. Funny as fuck though at the time but is very freaky!
I really want to try the Hawiians and since the ban may be in effect the time after this trip (in 3 days YES!) I will take 1/3 or 1/2 the box wait and see how I feel then take more if I am doing well. What Mushrooms are best for visuals ?
Hawaiians are very strong - the best way is to get them fresh in a shop. I get my mushrooms in the forest (Psilocybe azurescens), because they are stronger than the mushrooms which you can buy. Cheers
I will only be buying from a Smartshop, most likely will end back up with the Mexicans and thats what I took last time. I had a very good trip. I would like to have more visuals, but I am sure the Mexicans will do a good job.
