http://www.turkishpress.com/turkishpress/news.asp?ID=26539 http://therussiajournal.com/index.htm?obj=1716 I just about remember seeing it pulled down..would it be so bad putting it back up ????
That is awful there is nothing funny about it. It would be so bad to put it back up. That does not solve the problem. I swear there is seriously something wrong with this entire world... fuck getting out of the country, I'm going to mars.
Its what a percentage of the german people want (on both sides) did you read the links ??. It was not meant to be funny ... but i can see the funny side..the west side i think ha ha ha *sigh*.
I've been to dela-where? and i can assure you most of the world is in fact not like that place, smells better too.
ummm I'm not sure what Delaware has to do with anything, and I'm certain if you are referring to the smell, you must have been in the southern part of our tiny state where the only industry is chicken farming unfortunately because they refuse to bring any other industry in. It is really sad for the people who live down there who cannot find work that doesn't have to do with farming chickens. And if you try to ride your bike or even go outside in the summer, you better have a gas mask on. I was commenting on the state of the world, however, because for people to start thinking that rebuilding the Berlin Wall is a good idea, tells me that this world is going quite crazy. It is just my personal opinion but I think that the wall coming down was progress. Now I cannot help what happened after that. Apparently, there was no plan. And yes I did read both links. Why would I comment otherwise? They pretty much said that the wealthy free west is a bunch of selfish bastards who want the east side caged up again because they don't like dealing with the ghetto and they are sick of "supporting" them. At least that is my take on it. You can put your own spin on it. And you are right it was a percentage, not a majority, thankfully. I just don't understand why people are so against helping their brother out. Even if it means you might have to give something of luxury up for a little while to help build up those less fortunate. The people in East Germany were oppressed for so long, it takes time and help to get out of that. It isn't as if any of them asked to be born in that situation. Why is no one compassionate anymore. I for one am glad families were reunited and more people are free today. Call me crazy! But had you read the articles you would see that the problem is actually the fact that the government has cut welfare and that the east is depressed and poor while the west is prosperous and advancing. That was my only point. I thought that I could get it across in my original post, but I guess I needed to elaborate. Its cool.
I'm not sure about the accuracy of this supposed "poll", but it wouldn't surprise me. When I was in Germany, my aunt--who was caught in East Germany and then went on a "trip" to West Germany and never returned--was constantly going on about the East Germans (this was in 1998) because they were always complaining and voting Socialist and Communist. West Germans in general look down on former East Germans; many East Germans lost their jobs after re-unification and the economy has never really recovered; and psychologically, they are still two very different people. It will take generations for this to go away, and for Germans to have a single national identity again.
