Just recently made these. What do you guys think? Trying to decide if I should sell my jewelry to feed my beading addiction. Don't know if anyone would buy

Haha I know how you feel...I definitly have a hemp jewlery addiction. I make some everyday and just end up giving them to friends or keeping them for myself. Your work is good. Try talking to someone at a local hippie shop... most of the time they love buying jewlery from locals instead of ordering them online.

Thanks, Sunshine Daydream. Yeah, that's what I was doing too- giving away my jewelry. But it's getting really expensive. The better beads I use the more expensive it becomes. So, I thought if I could sell enough jewelry to pay for what I make, it would all wash clean. I don't live in a hippy area at all- so so speak- plan on moving a.s.a.p.- until then I thought maybe a website would be a good idea to sell my stuff- thought I'd put the feelers out there first to see it if was the kind of stuff peopel might buy. I gonna start doing hemp this next week. I've never done hemp before. I'm very excited. Do you have any hemp tips?

Definitly put come ruber cement on the end of your piece so that it wont come untied. I had the hardest time keeping them together when I first started making jewelry until someone told me to use rubber cement. Also, you should use a clipboard and clip the top loop to the board and tape the two center strings to it as well so that it stays in place while you are knotting it. If you need any help just let me know :)

pull the hemp VERY tight when you're weaving it. i didn't do that the first time and came out with a skinny, unraveling, unattractive necklace and wasted a bunch of hemp on top of that. [IMG]
