Hiya I seen the new my sims game and it looks good but i don't know which console to get it on the nintendo Wii or the DS. Which one do you think is better and why? Emilie
If you're not gonna travel around with the DS much, I'd say the Wii. My second opinion; don't buy it at all, and buy Super Mario Galaxy when it comes out. I can't wait, myself
I cant comment on the DS, but the Wii is fun. So much so that I had to rest my shoulder a few days after buying one
I would go for the Ds. It is portable, you can play it in bed, and you can use it as a guitar. There is this new game which transforms your DS into a virtual guitar. You strum a graphic string on the stylus pad and change chords with the buttons. Plus Zelda is better on a portable. As it is a long game, you might wish to play in bed. Wii sounds like something I did this morning when I went to the bathroom. I don't like the wii, the way one has to play it is by standing in front of your tv and use this remote control pad. Too much excercise for me.
But staying on the lines of this argument, if you buy a DS then that sounds like PS so people might think you bought a Playstation. Also, from the way the question was worded, she already has both consoles and just wants to know which platform would be the best. Actually, good point; do you already have a DS and Wii, Emile?
i don't think anyone would make that assumption. first, you'd never call a Playstation just 'PS' it'd be PS-1, PS-2, or 'Fridge'
Exactly. It's a silly argument against the system. Which is the point I was making, and it was a good point until you came and burst my bubble, thanks a lot Playstation Indigo
sorry *pop* *blows another bubble for power_13* funny you should say 'Playstation Indigo' in fact, as lately I just haven't been interested in any games for either the PS2 (dont' even talk to me about the PS3 ... not interested in the least) or the 360. More and more, the sorts of games I'm looking for seem to be on the Nintendo platform. I like Sim sort of games like whatever that one is called where you prepare food i could probably spend hours playing that one. Not interested in Zelda and Final Fantasy and all that, but the 'silly' sort of games. Like Catz as another example. That being said, I think Sonny is now looking to get a divorce. *shhhh, don't tell him* :leaving:
Ressurecting the dead. I have had problems getting hold of a Wii. It is always out of stock and have seen how much they are. Anyone would think that prices would have come down due to customer demand. But no, Nintendo are not dropping prices. Then I though about Nintendo Dslite. It is handheld and the graphics don't look to bad. I tried a demo model at a gameshop. It even has audio speech on some of the games. Still at 100 pounds, the fastest growing portable game system yet 100 pounds is a dream. Is Nintendo Dslite a good console or does it have massive flaws and drawbacks?
I did hear you correctly? Spectrum and commodore64. Don't know what timezone you are in, but I think Gameboy has evolved So Nintendo Dslite or Wii?
I got a DS and a WiiWii - The Wii wins.. I just got guitar hero III and I am obsessed with it!!! I got a commodore 64 too
Bought a Nintendo magazine this morning and saw the review of the simpsons game for Wii. There seems to be the camera problem across all platforms (bar Ds). The wii version of the Simpsons game is largely reduced from all other versions. Also when I play video games, I like to be in my chair, not standing up looking like a windmill and a somebody out of Crouching Tiger hidden dragon. I have chosen the DS. I am merely weeks from getting hold of one. I think the first game I will get is going to be Zelda. Phantom Hourglass. I remember classic Zelda on the Gameboy Pocket. I am sure that with the stylus, this new title will be awesome.
It's a mix between great and annoying as hell. All I will say is, before you go onto the thing you've been searching for since the beginning of the game, stock the fuck up on health potions. I nearly threw my DS through the window because of the boss fight on that level. (edit) Also, you don't really have to stand like that on the Wii. As long as you have flexible wrists, it's fairly easy to play.
