Bathroom reno picks...

We started renoing our bathroom this weekend. For those who don't know/remember, we bought an old farmhouse back in September. We ripped out the ugly shower, and vanity. Ripped up the ugly lino. We took out the horrid vanity. On Saturday we did some plumbing, and on Sunday I laid the floor tile. Here are some pics!

it is a lot of work, and I am looking forward to finishing it sometime this week! I found an old claw foot bathtub at a garage sale this summer for $40, which I repainted, and that should be going in Wednesday. Haven't had a bath since august... am really looking forward to a nice long soak! Will post more pics as the renos continue!

 

Wow, $40 is really good for a claw foot tub. They are really hard to come by around here and the best deal we could find was for over $100.

 

Last night I laid the wall tiles around the area where the tub is going. Today they were going to try and install the tub, but discovered that all the pipes in the basement are rotten. So, we are now having to replace 40-50 feet of plumbing before we can even think about installing the tub. Sigh. The room will be a nicely tiled toilet room for the next 2 weeks. BAH!
