Uhh if I'm not mistaken, this wouldn't do anything.

Just MOVING the thc from weed to oil wouldn't activate it... It would be a lot easier to just eat the raw weed, wouldnt it?

I was reading a SoaringEagle Olive Oil Tincture thread and it suddenly clicked that theres no way that should work unless it would be possible to just eat the weed raw..

i made canna-oil and it worked fine for me. you have to fry the weed with it and extract the leaves, then refrigerate for later, and make some brownies.

edit - nvm, your just talking about leaving the bud in cold olive oil to extract it? never heard of that.. but it sounds like it would work if it extracts the thc.. then you can use it for baking something to activate it?

THC is fat soluble, so it should extract but not activate the THC. im pretty sure only heat can activate it

tincture- an alcoholic extract (e.g. of a herb) or solution of a non-volatile substance
    Herbal Tinctures

Commonly known as extracts or essences, tinctures are herbal liquid with an alcohol base. Typically a glass jar is filled with herbs and then enough alcohol is poured over them to cover them completely. The herbs are then sealed and left in a warm, dark place for at least a couple of weeks. The jar is shaken occasionally, and after curing, the liquid is strained and the herbs discarded.

    Culinary or Aromatic Herbal Oils

Herbs, flowers, or spices are loosely placed in a glass bottle and covered with good quality oil and then sealed. The bottles are left to cure for at least two weeks in a warm, dark place. There have been reports of problems with salmonella when using fresh garlic and oil preparations, so if you are preparing garlic infused oil, only make small batches, and keep them refrigerated.

Cold oil is not alcohol, so it wouldnt be a tincture anyway. just search for herbal preparations online, and take into consideration that pot likes fats. I don't know if cold would work, but its possible. I was unaware that pot needed activation.
