My mother has thousands of freckles and I don't want to hear a word said against them. Yay for freckles!

Green Faerie--you're the way nature wanted you to be! (Or God, if He hangs out in your neighborhood.) I can't force you, but you'd be happier if you could say "This is the way I am and it's OK."

Flossy--the last part of your message ought to talk you out of the first part! Some of us do carry scars from our misadventures in life, but as you rightly say, we can be our own worst enemies. Give people a chance to accept you as you are, and maybe you'll find that the "terrible problem" isn't so terrible at all.

I say a good hippie accepts the human body as it is, and doesn't feel the need to conform with whatever fashion is sweeping the straight world. It's all cool, man. I really believe that. And I'm good at pep talks too.

I like this thread, I haven't read it all, but I read the first 6 pages or so. It made me realise that we all have bits/things we are unhappy with and reading other peoples issues makes your own seem normal and not such a big thing. I loved the reference to "tiger stripes" that's what I call my stretch marks too, and I reckon I earned them.

i agree with wasting the dawn. it always makes me feel so good when i get over the things that bother me about myself and decide i love them.
overall, i love my body and think its rather nice looking. id love if my breasts were smaller though. my favourite shirts are the ones that make them look smaller. i have a belly roll and sorta love handles. sometimes i wish i was smaller and more feminine. i have big, wide hands and feet, im 5'8 and 160 lbs so i have kind of a big frame.
oh and i have awful teeth. theyre kinda stained and decalcified around my gums.
ok thats all i can think of now lol gotta go make cookies :)

edit, as i return from making cookies: im really not insecure about any aspect of my body and im not shy, these are just things that i bitch about for something to bitch about lol.

im confident about my body, but thats about where it ends. i really have trouble meeting new people and interacting and just generally being social. now thats something im self-concious and insecure about. i just draw away from people because its easier.

i think, in general, i'm pretty attractive, and the shape of my body is pretty good.. lol not to sound conceited or anything, however, i do have a lot of flaws, that i've very insecure about.. if it weren't for these, i'd probably be really comfortable in my own skin..
see, i too have a hair problem, all over my body. dont get me wrong its not like . OMG!!!!!monkey!!!! lol its just a thin layer of hair all over my body, and i have black hair, so its a lot more noticable than those who have blonde hair... another thing, is that i have stretch marks on my lower back and all over my ass. (wtf) its weird..
although i recently got a tattoo to cover up the stretch marks on my back, its cool now.
and plus.. i have acne prints on my back.. boo... :( but those dont bother me as much, cause they dont really how... ANDD i hate my knees, cause they dont match my skin, they're noticably darker than the rest of my skin.. so that prevents me from wearing skirts and such...

the thing i hate most is my big areolas, they're out of proportion with my breast size and my boobs sag a bit. My areola are nearly 3 inches wide when not erect and im only a b cup! when they get hard they look wonderful though, i wish they were erect all the time! i need constant stimulation hehe
some guys might like them i dont know, never had any complaints yet but then again i have always tried to hide them, lights off etc. i really dont like the way they look anyway.... damn

I think my butt is too big, though the boys seem to like it, sometimes it gets a little too much attention. I mean there's a difference between a boyfriend admiring your butt than a random person in the street.
Also Im not a fan of my belly [IMG]

I don't like my body, not one bit. Ill admit it. Im fat. But Ive tried everything, I even went to this camp that said it would help or you get your money back. Well I got 500 dollers back. Ive tried eating properly. And sadly, I tried not eating at all(Dont try this...I almost died and was in the hospital for two months, while they made sure I was stable). So I dont know what to do. I excersise. I mean. Im a lifeguard. And Im always so afraid of going to work, because Im afraid someone will see me. Which they obviously will.

i dont like my legs much at all... i usually always wear pants and occasionally skirts... my thighs are big! and i have a big ass too. big thighs and ass run in my family...grrrrr. i used to dislike my arm fat alot, but ive recently started doing curls and it actually helped 'em alot!

but most of all, i have huge hips!!! im like super curvy (too much so, IMO).. and i always have to buy pants that will fit my hips. which is weird because my waist is small.

bah, i need to just lose like 20 more lbs and i would be content, i swear. i lost 25 this summer and i do feel more confident in my body... but i still have pretty bad issues w/it.

i think im gonna go do some situps, lol.

I know what you mean, pants never fit me quite right because of that. I need to buy them big enough for my hips, but my waist is small, so they are always falling down.
Big butts and thighs also run in my family, but Im dominican big butts and thighs run in all of our families
Also I've seen your pics and if you lost 25 pounds you would dissapear, I mean you are skinny, so dont go crazy.

I have the big butt small waist problem too. I hate the gap at the back on the jeans above the butt, you know what I mean? That or jeans just won't go over my butt at all. But my new solution is high waisted jeans! They won't fall off because they hug your waist, not your hips. They are so much more comfy and flattering too in my opinion. I'd like to find some real old fashioned 70's high waisted bell bottoms :)

I'm very hairy. I don't mind hair, but it freaks me out when it grows on my belly and breasts. I feel like i'm always shaving my belly and plucking hairs from my boobs. I'm always worried that my man will see it. :(

Thanks for this thread btw! :)

I hate belts too, thus my butt crack ALWAYS showing, I do make myself wear it. I have ONE belt haha, is the only one I have managed to like.

I actually have high waisted bell bottoms, they are back home, but I'm gonna get them now when I go there. They are my favorite jeans. They have flowers painted on them. They do make all the difference, though they make my butt a lot more noticeable, at least is fully covered

Same here! I'm always told 'Don't shave your belly!', but I look horrific if I don't. And I come out allergic to hair-removal creams. What a thing to be allergic to!

I also have huuuuge eyebrows, which reminds me, I need to pluck them!
