I was reading shit around the web and many believe China will some day beat the US and become the new superpower. Many believe that WWIII will have to with US vs China if China decides to take over Thailand. Thoughts?
i would say the question is not"will"but when, an my guess would be within 20 years, probably within 10.
You mean Taiwan. And China will become an economic rival to the US soon. They are not close presently to rivaling the US militarily. Although China does have a larger military. The US could never invade China. If there was a war with China over Taiwan it would take place next year (when Taiwan spoke of making a constitution) and be a tactical war between the US and China. It wouldn't last long. I think some sort of diplomatic solution is probably more likely. And obviously the solution I hope for. China's military isn't necessarily antiquated, but they don't have a single operational aircraft carrier.
It is several decades away. The average American earns five times as much as the average Chinese citizen, despite two decades of very rapid growth in China. And I don't see any reason why it has to lead to war.
China is being set up by the global elite to take over from the US as the next world superpower, at least for the time-being. This will happen within the next 5-10 years as the US economy goes belly-up. I believe we will see the collapse of the US economy within the next year or two, though. This is why many of the big boys are packing up and moving out before the ship sinks. They are moving to the UAE, China, or some other relatively "safe" country. They are teaching their kids to speak Chinese because they know that China is the up-and-coming world power. The US as we know it is through. Jacques Attali, who is a French economist that helped to spearhead the EU, wrote in his book from 1992, titled Millenium: Winners and Losers in the Coming World Order, that around this time the US would witness an influx in illegal immigration from the south as they fight to "democratise" the Middle East. He said that this would ultimately bankrupt the country, and that the next boat people to leave a country to find work abroad would be the Americans.
big difference though is the chinese can go and live in there shit factories and work there and in 7- 9 yrs have enough to basically retire and go lead the chinese version of a normal life,,, in fact those living in those factories/cities do better economically in comparison your average american in chicago earning 14 bux an hour
I also believe China will be the next big superpower. If there's a war between the US and China, I wonder which side Walmart will choose.
I believe that as long as China remains a Communist country it will never last as a super power. You need a free and strong economy with little government intervention to last. America is not done yet. We are in a culture war with the world right now. We need to stay true to the founding fathers ideals to remain on top. If we give in and globalize we are going down the crapper. We need a strong national identity and a better family structure and good schooling too.
I believe that as long as China remains a Communist country From what I understand, it's communist in name only, while activly promoting capitalism. A libertarian I know considers it a true libertarian's heaven, and plans to move there.
China wants to take over Thailand? But yeah, China will definately be the next superpower if they can stay ahead of India.
thats why america is doomed. thats being thrown out the window.. true,it has another few years before the powers that be completely fuck it up. we havent stayed true to the founding fathers ideals in over 25 years. the toilets already been flushed, you need only to look at todays youth to see that. so a nationaliodentity our founding fathers would approve of? i hope your a fundamentalist Christian.. the goverment cant have that, they need sheep to control..
the toilets already been flushed, you need only to look at todays youth to see that. Our generation was far more violent, drugged, apathetic, and stupid than kids today. I believe that by every statistic, without exception, kids today are measurably better than the kids of the 1970s. As Henry Rollins pointed out, we're the first generation in modern history whose kids are less "hardcore" (his word) than us. Guns in schools? That was almost normal in the 70s. I went to a very average high school, and the year before I started there, there was a shootout on school property between drug dealers and police. There was a full-time officer stationed at the school, but he was nothing but a joke. Me and my friends were into weed, acid, and quaaludes, but weren't even considered stoners- we were the square "straight kids." The "burnouts" were more into PCP, over-doses of valium, and Jack Daniels, all while driving. The first gun I saw at school was in 7th grade. I could go on and on, but I'd be the last person to complain about "kids today." My kids are now out of high school, but they were both popular with lots of friends, and so I've met lots of 'em. I think today's kids are by far the best generation of young people this country has ever produced. Sorry to get off on a rant there, but the "kids today" thing is a pet peeve, and as always, I could be wrong~! PS- a certain amount of rebellion against Old People is healthy, in my view, so I'm not saying that a generation of smiling, happy, well-adjusted, drug-free obedient zombies is a good thing- but of course they are not that, either.
none of those things were what i was referring to.. i was referring to there overall lack of independence, there entitlement mentality and there belief that everything that the rest of the world says about america is true.. as always there are exceptions to this as with any group..
umm hundreds.. i mean we do have kids of our own,, an then theres neighbors kids, friends kids,co workers kids, street kids,etc... you disagree i assume.. well im not going to debate my views . i stated them an i feel they speak for themselves..
just to make ya squirm a bit more,i consider anyone under 25 a kid.. remember,i said as with any group there are exceptions....
I know lots of kids too, most of whom are independent, self thinkers, that work hard for what they have. If kids today feel entitled it is because their parents have taught them that. Maybe a little more introspection and less blame would help things get better. I mean seriously who is teaching the youth of today but us.
i cant argue that fact at all.. and as i said there are exceptions, however a vast a majority of todays youth have no work ethic,no desire to be independent, and believe that they should get everything easy.. you need only to read the news to see that. kids livin at home well into there 20's,some blame wages and rent prices, yeah well theres your lack of independence an low work ethic. they could always relocate, work longer hours, take on another job etc . .. but i guess its to hard.. kids gettin outta college and crying and complaining because they have to start on the ground floor.. its all in the news, society has fucked the vast majority of kids heads up in america.. hell even here there are threads from kids that are just struggling with the reality of life because of the way they were raised... its really pathetically sad...
