Sup dready fellows. I'd like you to gimme some info about the smallest locks you can get for a whiteman. It's not that I want them faster... I just want short dreads. Any tips and info would be cool, thank you dreadlocks buddy.
i got some short locks... about 5 inches or 6 inches now... backcombed some, but mostly just neglected it for 3 months and htey dreaded up real well for such a short time. its better to start short too in the long run cause they will grow in as mature dreads
yeah that's cool man, but I don't want long dreads... you know I'd like to have some clean and short dreads... nothing to messy... I don't even know if it's possible for a white guy.
if you don't want messy, then dreads probably aren't for you. they are really messy for six months to a year and a half. just the nature of the beast.
well if you want short ones that kind of defeats the purpose since you will end up with long ones within a year...so it might not be worth puting your time in if your just gonna end up cutting when you no longer want them? bc dreads are not an overnight thing - at all - and it will take awhile to get them tight etc, but by that time cahnces are your hair will be longer than the dreads you want. meh.
Yeah so that is way I'm askin you for tips to keep them short and knotty. No problemes with waiting for some while to get them perfect.
i don't think there is a way to keep them short and knotty for two reasons, the roots of your hair will always be loose. so depending on just how short you want them it might be impossible. and if you cut your dreads, they can unravel. almost like half to 3/4ths of the way.
that's not really possible. i think for the most part, some of your hair will always be undreaded. my roots are really tight but my ends are loose. they're not going to be short and tight unless you wax the shit out of them, and then it's just going to destroy your hair. dreads are a pretty messy style until you're a year or two into them, and even then, sometimes they're messy and scraggly. it's a process and it'll take a long time before they're tight at all, let alone perfectly set in the way you want. just my $0.02.
