i wrote this yesterday on my myspace about listening to music when you're tokn, thought i'd share it with you guys too.. music is the noise in the back of our head of the sounds we hear all day. it is when we listen to this music that we can best relate to it. have u ever smoked and hear these noises in the back that sounds like music.. and then u think, damn taht would make a really good song. and then u come to realize its not music that youre hearing its just ur environment and surroundings.. its not about the music you make yourself, its about the music the enviroment is making on its own. and you are spacing out, just listening to the sounds around you, and the wind and trees and people talkng, cars moving by, in that distant noise you hear it when you are baked lol, when totally spacing out. concentrating on nothing.. but at the same time everything. and it sounds different too, depending if you are inside or outside.. and subconsiously when we decide what music we feel like lsitening to.. its the music that goes along with that same noise that we put ourselves in. ...what do u think. i think in a way it just simplifies something that on a subconcious level is already recognized.. by putting things into words we can better explain and therefore better hope to relate.. right? so my point isnt neccesarily about music but writing.. anyone else get this?
I get it, but I'm not sure I see or experience it the same way. Nice try to put it into words though, I can't.
Of course, if you regularly toke you experience a few different kinds of highs as well. Some I have feel like one of the first times I got real stoned (which I don't literally remember, but the feeling), the one that means pure bliss and ultimate relaxation. That's the one I like most, be intensly happy with your music, joints and company. I can also listen really intense to the sounds of things outside, I really like that. Inside I always prefer to put music on though, I rarely toke inside without sound now that I think of it. Most of the time it's music, and if it isn't I watch tv.
train of thought owns. my favorite artists/singers/rappers are the ones that write in train of thought.
yeah definately i enjoy listening to music or having some noise going on. when this was taking place though, the times that it has that i remember, i was either outside or it was quiet, and i was just listening to the noise going on outside, like the cars driving by or birds, wind, etc. the crappy thing is, its hard to remember these exact noises to later be able make music out of em.. i suppose you'd have to experience those noises a lot or write the music as you hear it, although i dont really see how that'd work out since its so easy to forget later on the exact sounds.. hmm
Cars hiss down my windohow.. I bet more musicians are inspired by the sounds they here outside their houses
it makes sense though.. if you have a loud life and theres all this loud "background noise". it could even be family.. oh yeah, people u surround urself with is important too. i duno if i said that earlier. but yah loud life would mean loder music n the people ur around.. i guess style of music? that make sense? cuz in saying, the wind and cars and all that are instruments. and the people we're around is the singing, which i guess makes sense.. its all subconsious though i dont know if i already said that. but thanks for lettin me know what u think lol its kewl u dig what im sayin..
