We don't have a fireplace...although we do have a random mantle in our living room...? Don't ask, landlord is weird!

We don't really keep the heat on at night because my body temp goes up SOOO high that I make any room an oven when I'm sleeping. Kevin and I generally just cuddle up and keep warm...my mother has to fend for herself until she gets her own place-haha

yeah if we lose power, we're screwed. And our house is old, so insulation isn't good. The heat in the house will start getting cold within 45 minutes of losing power (cold to me anyway)

i don't know what my apartment building uses. i know it's a system of hot water running through the apartments but i don't know how it's heated. i don't pay for heat anyway so i don't really worry about it
