Okay what ever KFC did to get rid of those trans fats has made the chicken taste even worse than it did before and has a terrible side effect on my and at least 2 other people. So what did they do to the shit?

they probably loaded it with arsenic.

No, I'm kidding. I think KFC is going out of business, though. A manager at a local one told me that all of New England will be close within the next few years...so I'm thinking that people would rather shit-stuffed burgers than poisonous fried chicken.

just more saturated fat, most likely

with the less trans fatty acid, they just add more sat. fat

Well it gives my poor dogs a real sour stomach and has ill effects on me so they lost my money even if I was in a pinch for time and hungry, I will wait or soemthing.

^ Actually I think that prize goes to Church's Chicken. I think it may be a chain only in FL but it is god awful.

KFC started painting their stores a brighter orange and added stars and stripes to try to chime in on the post-911 patriotic atmosphere. They've tried to make some of them have a more modern cafe look too. Guess business hasn't been as good as they had expected.

I think KFC has two main things keeping it from succeeding. First of all, the prices are higher than most other fast food places. Second of all, and pretty much just as important, I've NEVER seen a KFC in a convenient location. They're always in weird areas with no other food places around (at least near me). That said, it is pretty damn tasty to me. Love the macaroni :). And the mashed potatoes... mmm. But I get it maybe a couple times a year since its out of the way and expensive.

BTW, we have Church's Chicken in Michigan, too. Not sure if I've ever been there though. Based on what I know about it though, I could easily see it being worse than KFC.

we have them around here too. some of the worst service i've ever encountered from any food establishment, but i think the food is actually damn tasty. kfc, on the other hand, is disgusting and i haven't eaten at one since i moved to the city where i now have the options of church's and popeye's

I heard they were going to change their name to GECFMP, but it didn't have the same ring to it as KFC.

Plus, no one likes being reminded that they're consuming Genetically Engineered Chicken-Flavored Meat Product.

I agree. Sometimes I enjoy KFC when I'm hungry and feel like some meat on the go. It's so greasy but tasty. I always buy the chicken breasts or side breast portions. The only thing I find disturbing is knowing how they keep the chickens. The animals suffer badly before they are culled and experience a life of pain.

The chicken is one of the most exploited animals on the planet... but they taste so good :D

KFC is nasty. People would be well-advised to stay away from shit like that.
