not everyone but i storngly beleve that most of them can improve their situation if they want to without any stealing or begging for pitty
do you realize that sometimes there things that you cant control that can drive you to make bad choices? There are bad actions, but there are also bad reactions to bad things.
It's considerably more difficult to improve one's situation of homelessness when so many are passing judgment that it's a choice.
im pretty interested to know how they are to improve there situation? The way it is here its impossible to get back on there feet without help and most of the help isnt working (at shelters you get your stuff stolen and my friend was almost raped at one).
well i'll tell you this: few years ago there was a family that had many children (like 10 or so) and they came out on television blaming the goverment that she took away their home later it was estimated that they were living in inlegal property and the goverment offered them to move into an apartement that she would buy for them but they didin't even carred enough to give all the right documents to get that appartment and this is only one example how people falsly blame the governement and everyone else for their mistakes, so should i feel sorry for them?
well i don't know how things are in America but here (we're only 2 milon people country) so it's very easy to find out what people are doing in their lives and what really hapened to them, there are no great mysteries so in general i know why people are homeless in my environement, and beleve me, it's not because they were missfortunated, it's because they were lazy and didn't respect the law and you can judge me as much as you want but i beleve that i've seen the real side on things and that's why i can't pitty them
well then you'll be able to pity the homeless in america after watching it but i see were your coming now
Anyone can turf out stories like this. These things DO happen. People who will not give money to the people in the street, begging, will say "theyve probably got a mercedes parked around the back", or "itd probably go on drugs" But this is NOT the case a lot of the time, and you cant just assume it always is. I mean come on, would you sit out in the rain with nothing but a stinky blanket and a dog for a few pennies? Many may be on drugs, but there are alternatives if you dont want to give money. Buy the person a sandwich. Buy them some shoes if theyre barefoot or a blanket if they look cold or at least give them a smile and some conversation and a cup of coffee! These are human beings, and a TV documentary wont change that fact And also the fact that, as i said, compassion is simply healthy. Youre doing yourself a massive favour by caring And i never said you were a monster. I wouldnt be so judgemental
well i'm glad that you've mention that, how woud you explain the fact that they don't wan't sandwich or clothes (coz i gave out clothes alot in the past) and want strictly money?
Then you're using observations from Macedonia to comment on homeless in (presumably) the United States. There are many routes to homelessness in this country, of which ONLY SOME can directly result from negligent decision making. I'm sure the situation varies from nation to nation and in larger countries, from region to region within them.
Well i tought we were talking about homeless people in general And how could i comment about homeless people in America whaen i've never been there? It's very logical that i'll talk about Macedonia
I think I can understand that you have a different perspective and while I still don't agree with you I regret that I was a bit harsh in my earlier responses to you.
I find it hard to pity people who are in situations they can help. Some homeless cant help but be homeless, either due to intelligence, persecution, etc and I pity them. Other homeless are homeless by choice, and those people are modern day saints. I can't imagine myself getting homeless without choice, all though I have been homeless for a few days before in winter, which was NOT fun. But I can achieve anything that I put my mind to, so staying indoors during the winter isn't as hard for me as it is for others. Is it wrong to steal from a big faceless corporation such as Walmart, CVS, 7-11, or Target? As far as I'm concerned, they are companies that thrive on the poverty of others and are teriible in every way. They have the same blanket rules and idiots in power that any other large establishments occur. Small businesses with honest owners are what should be in abundance. I believe stealing in small amounts is ok from big business, because it is literally a victimless crime. For them to notice a $15 item missing from their national inventory would be like you noticing a penny missing from your last five years of investments. Small business deserve jokes and donations so they can keep on rollin.
