"In a not too distant future, advanced cloning technologies will allow us to even recreate a deceased person in an adult body, with all his past experiences and memories, allowing mankind to enter the age of immortality as it has been announced by His Holiness Rael, founder of Clonaid, in 1973 already after his contact with the Elohim, mankind's extraterrestrial creators."

    ...............................ok that some weird shit

i know, dude. thats just what i was thinking! it's messed up.
people must be like, blinkered to the truth though, to put your trust in some wacky scientist who's the 'spiritual leader' of some movement who believes we were made by extra-terrestrials...
    whats going on?!

............there the ones that are in the news all of the time, claimed to have the first cloned human called Eve. they still have not provided proof , so I question if they even can clone a person. most likely just a way to suck money out of people who have lost a love one.

I was about to say the same thing! Whilst tongue in cheek, Dok has a point. What exactly defines what is weird? Society classes something as abnormal when it does not conform to the accepted conventions of that society. In our liberalised, modern Christian tradition, UFO cults are weird. But then so too are people who dress in tie-dye and go out doing road protests to save a few trees. This does not make them wrong, just different. I personally think these cultists' faiths are misplaced, and their actions to be immoral, but then again, these are subjective concepts, and who am I to judge?

Haha, comeon people, the raelians (sp) are just harmless nuts. They don't have anywhere close to the scientific compacity to clone a person... they've actually calimed they already did a few months ago, then later said they weren'tt going to prove it.

Don't take this cult too seriously. [IMG]

took the words right out of this mouth.

i wonder if this cult was foundd a few thousand years back and had a big book from their alien founders it would be more accepted in todays times? .. i mean we have more "scientific proof" thats there are aliens than we do that there is a god. All biblical stories and infact the majority of any religious myth the proof all relats back to the holy book, be it the bible the koran etc.

sorry jaz but dont you think that they might think exactly the same about christians beleif in a god?

Im not saying that there are aliens and nogod and im not sayin there is a god and no aliens... hell i dont know eigher way and wouldnt be pretentious enough to think i did but to label a beleif in how man klind began as weired is hypocritical ads everyone has some idea how life began, even science is all based on theory and coincidence in some peoples mind.

And as for this cloning thing.. yes i think its very very sick. Our population is too high as it is. And this so called "prime minister whose son has been killed" they mention... wouldnt happen to be the friench prime minister who's son fell int oa swiming pool would it? i mean the guy was so hung up about it that he taxed the whole of france on having out dorr in ground swiming pools. Now it costs you to have a swiming pool just because he couldnt look after his kid :S
