My daughter is 5months old, she has been drooling alot and is cranky off and on..........we are pretty sure she is starting to get teeth but we are not sure. This is going to sound stupid but How can you tell?
If you look at her gums they may look swollen. If you really look you can sometimes see the teeth trying to poke through. Though from what you described it definitly sounds like teething. I used clove oil on my kids' teeth and they loved it. *hugs* Jess
yeah, that sounds exactily like teething. You may also see little "buds" under her gums. Use a cool wet cloth and rub her gums with it gently, some babies like that.
Hyland's homeopathic teething pellets. You can give them to baby with NO RISK of overdosing, they taste sweet so baby most likely won't reject them and they are cheap. You can go to the healthfood store, talk to a employee about what's going on, a lot of times folks that work a certain section in a healthfood store really their stuff. With regards to supplements and remedies, etc. Stay away from vinyl and plastic teethers, they contain cancer causing chemicals that are released when babies chew on them. Why they are on the market? It's our trade politics with China, most other countries have banned them!
with landon we could just tell that he was extra cranky, he's always been a huge drooler so we couldn't really go by that. but around the time he got really irritable, we could see little 'holes' in his gums where the teeth were about to come in. before that his gums were obviously swollen and tender. we have been using the tablets and I definitelty recommend them. they have worked great!
