Any mommies want to be childbirth assistants

If you would like to give it a shot. I just started a class for Douls Traing in the new hip forums free internet school. Come join up and learn to be a doula.

 

I can't find the link to this. I'm not a mother yet, but I'm a student midwife so I'd love to take this course too. I don't see it with the other classes though! help

ETA: I found the place to sign up but I don't see where it's started yet~ but at least I'm getting there I hope.

 

I actually want to be a midwife. I learned so much about childbirthing with my second child (UBAC). I did it by myself and I would love to help women find the power within themselves to birth naturally. I'm just waiting till the kiddies are older as they take a lot of my attention atm. lol

I'm working on my BA right now, then I'm going for my MSN in Nurse-Midwifery. I can't wait to start catching babies! Someday I want to open a birth center.

My son was a coerced C-section, but future babies will be UBAC if I have anything to say about it! My fiance is supportive, but we just have to work on getting him not to freak out when it comes down to actually doing it.

 

Ive been curious with midwifery ... what does it take to be a midwife? what type of schooling do you need to take?
