Hi, I have been planning a small party with some friends to take acid together (some for the first time). However, someone told me that taking shrooms before your first time is better... any advice? We have been planning this for a while so unless it is highly recommended we will probably not change our plans. thank you for any advice -Kari
I'd agree with sticking with acid because it is less moody. Shrooms are often very fun and happy, but sometimes they aren't, which would suck.
Thank you, I think we will stick with the acid... my friend was only worried that the acid would make us moody ( why she thought that I have no idea...) especially because I tend to have weird mood swings.
I think LSD in lower doses is easier to handle mentally then mushrooms in lower doses. LSd tends to be a lot more visual though, but visuals don't mean hard to handle, its the mental aspect of shrooms that makes me say that LSD is a fine start if you start off witha dose that isn't too high.
Some drugs are more inviting on the mental side, I find all psychedelics of lsd's magnitude inviting.. Not overpowering ..unless I think of the drug that way or get paranoid, but that just goes to show you right there that it's a bit more 'inviting' if being paranoid makes you have a bad trip or enter more of a mental one, or atleast always has been to me... In fact, shrooms can be a lot more terrifying than LSD in the right amounts, but then that also depends on how much LSD you've taken. LSD is just more 'potent', and ofc. as a whole new active chemical probably makes the visuals a bit more different. However I'm not implying that salvia and the like is inviting, any amount of anything thats going to put you through a Level 5 basically.. only time will get you out of it .. I've had a level 5 on LSD for not too long, and was fucked. Shrooms are usually to expensive to be on a level 5.. usually.. Well, my only point here is definitely not. Either or, just LSD usually requires less and is more promising, considering the shit you were sold is real... I'll show you the right direction provided you invite me too it. It's almost the same thing, different amounts required to reach different states of mentallity. However, the visuals def. carry their differences.. and I'm sure the mental effects can be a bit different aswell.. From what I've read, shroom trips usually have a bit of delirius thought patterns (which is why I find it odd the girl above is calling it less mental), where people claim to have been in a stall freaking out because they thought the whole club was outside laughing at the guy who is 'too fucked up', and just shit like that. Though just because it's a party, I'd say acid.. No taste, conceilable, probably cheaper for the trip it'll get you in, cleaner feeling, not gross eating (same thing as no taste), it goes on..
Why not do 1 or 2 hits of acid and a 1g of shrooms together? This is probably what I will do next time.
if its your 1st time doing either acid or shrooms id suggest do acid. only because you dont lose complete control and if you take 1 tab you will just nejoy yourself (atleast i did my 1st time)
in my experience shrooms are way more emotional than acid so if shes worried about that def stick with the cid
I made the following experience... mushrooms brings me into a more "mystical" trip. But it always depends on the dosage and the type of mushroom. I love the hawaiian mushrooms or the psilocybe azurescens, which are even stronger. I had a stronger trip on 12g fresh mushrooms - compared to 500ug LSD (2 micro-hit's) My conclusion is that both substances are wonderful if you have a strong mind, give it a try if you really want.
IMHO, you should be very careful with either drug. Neither drug is recomended for those with "weird mood swings". And for the record, also IMHO, shrooms are not as intense as acid. Of course you could eat to much of either, but by in large acid freaks people out a higher % of the time. I noticed one comment that imlpied that nothing bad could happen off of just one hit. Not true. Many, many people have had bad trips on 1 hit. Have fun. Think positive, kick back, and listen to the music play.
i'd say acid because in my experience it is alot easier to have a bad trip on mushrooms. neither of them are more/less visual though. they are entirely different especially when it comes to hallucinations. depending on the potency, 1 or 2 hits of acid is generally less visuals than an eighth of mushrooms. although, 3 hits or more tends to add alot more visuals and they can be very extreme. ALOT stronger than mushrooms. the main difference bewtween the two is that when it comes to mushrooms, for the most part they just warp everything. things will get bigger, smaller, change shape, look really funny or scary, shit like that. on acid, you can look at something and it will actually turn into something else and sound like something else. that's if it doesn't already. for example, you could be talking to your friend and his/her face will slowly start turning into a pig. and you could be in the middle of a conversation with them and they're talking, but all you hear is snorting lol. those are only a couple of things though. almost everything about the two drugs are different somehow.
I wouldn't dose both at the same time if you aren't used to tripping. I would try Albert Hofmann's discovery because it is an amazing experience. I also agree with the visuals part, I fun LSD to be very visual as well as phycological. I find it to be 10 times beyond magic mushrooms, but it's a lot more of a chill trip when you're all laughing and having a good time... Have a good experience!
i agree with this guy. don't get me wrong by my last reply. it's easy to go into a bad trip on acid too no matter how much you do. my first trip i only did one tab and had a bad trip, but it was because of anxiety and i wasn't exactly sure what to expect. shit like that can send you into a bad trip. afterwards i realized i was tripping and kind of taught myself how to use it to my advantage. i ended up having alot better of a time later. if you decide to try acid over mushrooms, i wouldn't recommend more than two tabs for your first time, just so you know what it's like. experience helps, it isn't anything to fuck around with.
