Hell Yeah! I'll protest. I'm going to look into if there's a protest or anything in Toronto! I say we actually cause some shit, if we just protest and wave our little banners around, the government will just ignore us! And they will go ahead anyways! I would love to see the whole country rally and shut down pretty much. Come on Canadian! RESIST THE GOVERNMENT!

I don't think its a coincedence that stoners can't organize the world's greatest political protests.

They could probably think of the largest possible protest, but it would be out of proportion and probably involve politicians and cops being hung.

Well I know for sure this protest was held in the following provinces.

British Columbia (Vancouver Island, Burnaby BC, and Vancouver Center)
Alberta (Glenmore Landing (The Prime Minister of Canada's constituency office.)
Saskatchewan (Regina Parliament Buildings (Hand Cuffed to the door))
    Quebec

    There could be more too.

The NDP is out right against C-26 and the Liberals seam against it to. I highly doubt the Bloc would support it... so it should not pass. The problem is the conservatives are trying to make it look like there the only one tough on drugs. One of the oppositions may cave, or if there was an election the conservatives could even win a majority.

It doesn't work that way. Any bill Stephen Harper wants to pass, he merely has to declare a matter of confidence. Then, if it doesn't pass, parliament is dissolved and an election will be held - which neither of the other parties want right now. So, most likely, they'll abstain from voting.

I'm fairly confident that they're saving dissolution for the next budget vote (which is automatically a confidence motion).
