Nonpolar/polar extraction people-if you have done this could you tell me what brand naphtha you have used? Is it at Home Depot? If not, is there a good one there? I am sure I saw a thread about this before but I cannot seem to find it now. If you are not sure please do not answer with a guess-this is not a mistake I want to risk making. Thank you.
I know someone who uses Ace VL&P Naptha with success. But, the best bet is to test the evaporation yourself even after you get advice. You can take some naptha and let it evaporate in a shallow pan or dish until the liquid is gone. (maybe 3-4 days) (make sure the fumes go outside) If there is any smell, residue, taste...anything left...then don't use it. If the pan is completely clean, then it passed that test at least. The more you use to test, the more you will be sure. I suppose there could still be something there that you couldn't feel, smell, or taste...but at least make sure it passes this test. It's worth spending the time for your health. I'd guess that even the same brand may differ from batch to batch and region to region. So, it might even be worth testing every new batch you get, but that might be overkill.
Thank you peacegrow. I have heard mention of that VL&P, but did not know it was at Ace. I am familiar with that test, and will do it. I appreciate the advice, though. Good deal, Ace is closer to me than Home Depot.
