I was wondering if any of you guys here like any oi bands such as Screwdriver, Attak, broken heros, flogy molly, ect.
Do you even know what Oi is. When I said oi I wasn't refering to the word that so many "punks" think is cool, but rather to the Oi! style of music and culture.
It's a stlye of music and culture that extends from working class teenagers looking for something that is still true to its roots to excesively violent skinheads that adapted oi! as their theme music. EDIT: Sorry for double post.
no no, i know that it's a style of music and all that, i just haaaate the word, now. i used to like it, because it's sort of a british expression, and my family's british and just kind of use it sometimes. but it means something different than what everyone else uses it for...and it just ruins it. meh, i'll get over it, tho.
Hahaha. Skrewdriver sucks. Seriously. They are the worst oi! band I have ever heard. Also, they need to be executed. Well, except Ian Stuart, because fortunately, he's already dead. I'm quite cheerful about this, because death is all nazis will ever deserve. Dead and dying nazis make me happy. Good Oi! is the 4-Skins, Cock Sparrer and German bands like Volxsturm, Broilers, 4 Promille and Springtoifel. Are Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys Oi? I'd say they're not. But it doesn't really matter, they got some nice tunes as well. Sorry by the way for resurrecting such an old thread.
