I grew up in a Lutheran Church. My immediate family kind of lost interenst in it eventually and didn't go at all for a long time. I've been to a few different churches since (mostly non-denomonational), but none of them speak to me anymore.

All religions are the same thing, they just put focus on different aspects. All besides Catholics, they are all close minded fools. They have to be, thats part of it. They have to live their life the way that the "elected officials" tell them to, or else they go to hell. If the vatican gave you a list of people to kill, and you are a true Catholic, then you will go to hell if you don't kill those people. They have a very strict tradition of censorship and hyocrazy that has killed and ostracized millions of people.

To me the Catholic Church is about the same as politics of government law, just that you have the choice to be Catholic.

Huh? Why the nit-picking? Lutheranism is a branch of Protestantism.

Its about belief in the authority of the church hierarchy and the pope. The protestant revolution was about some christians removing themselves from their excess and authority. The whole 30 years war and all that fun little jazz.

There are other little nitpicky details. Catholics tend to believe that humans are a flawed creature - original sin - hence all the guilt. This isn't really so strong with protestants.

What do they teach kids at schools these days?

The Catholic Church has its roots in politics... its no mistake how its setup. It essentially *only* allows for a heirarchal rule - as a member of the church you are saying you are blind deaf and dumb... and you need Jesus to guide you.

Its a horrible religion. Basically says you are weak, listen to what people above you say (not specific to who, just whoever is above you... thats the basic idea), NEVER question authority (your stupid, remember), go to church and pay pay pay. God needs money!!!!

The example above is spot on, if the catholic church was behind 9/11 I wouldn't be surprised... not at all. There is nothing they are incapable of, its in that respect very similar to islam... but at least there is honor in islam, catholics hide behind secrecy.

Honestly it makes me sick to think people dedicate their lives to propogating the lies they believe as truth... because they have never even questioned it themself.
